Former President Donald Trump’s longtime ally Steve Bannon surrendered Thursday to face state money laundering and conspiracy charges in New York alleging he duped donors who gave money to build a wall on the U.S.-Mexico border. Bannon is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday afternoon.
Prosecutors say that while Bannon promised donors all the money they gave would go to building the wall, he was involved in funneling hundreds of thousands of dollars to two other people involved in the scheme. The indictment didn't identify those people by name, but the details match those of Brian Kolfage and Andrew Badolato, who pleaded guilty to federal charges in April.

too bad Bannon didn’t have the Ukrainian government covering for him like some other folks we know!!

I know this is preaching to the choir but if there are any FREEPERS who are NOT listening to every second of “War room” these legal gymnastics should convince you how important this podcast, Livestream is...
I am looking into getting a Roger Stone Nixon-type tattoo with Bannon on my back. LOL.
Inform me.
“I believe Bannon has even taken the step of streaming War Room from a boat off the coast of the US to avoid the Deep State.”
I remember long ago people suggesting that Rush do his radio show that way.
This is nothing but lawfare, pure and simple. Bannon knows it. Everyone with a brain knows it.
Bannon was already tried for this. He was alleged to have pilfered $1 million of the donations, back in 2017. President Trump pardoned him in 2019. So this is just a rehash of the same charges. In legal terms, it’s Double Jeopardy.
It seems odd, but President Trump's pardon was for federal charges, and doesn't touch state charges. Sort of like a pardon for criminal charges doesn't touch civil cases, e.g., OJ Simpson.

arent private foundations a wonderful thing
its like a personal piggybank
When was he pardoned?
Trump pardoned Bannon of the federal charges but states can bring their own charges and NY did.
So you actually think he’ll get a fair trial...
Oooookaaaaay...
Oh yes...I thought you were referring to his recent charges he was just convicted on (contempt of Congress).
Presidents cannot pardon for state charges...that would have to be the governor.
It would be far more helpful if people simply explain what they are talking about when they say someone stabbed someone in the back.
