The U.S. is experiencing an "exceptionally challenging" environment for the relationship between military and civilian parts of society, a large group of former Pentagon leaders warned in an open letter published Tuesday.
Why it matters: The letter, which cited political polarization and other social changes, was signed by eight former defense secretaries and five former Joint Chiefs chairmen from both Republican and Democratic administrations.
Among the signatories were two of former President Trump's defense secretaries, Jim Mattis and Mark Esper.

Not that it matters what I believe or think, but I feel the only reason our Supreme Court did not question this closet (m)uslim in reference to his birthplace was they were afraid that it would trigger riots.
Also notice that they failed to address the blatant treason by their Commander of the Joint Chiefs, Army General Milley who openly admits that he worked to undermine President Trump. And why isn’t this a huge issue?

Not true. 1960. Kennedy was not elected president. Illinois’ electoral votes should have gone to Nixon. Vote fraud by Mayor Daly in Chicago (largely conceded today by everyone, even democrats) switched those votes.
Nixon decided not to contest the fraud. Peaceful transfer was very much in doubt until he backed off.
The signers are the ones that are highly responsible for the crap in the military.
My impression is that during the Trump years the troops were with him solidly, but the generals were not.
