John Fetterman's Bad Health Becomes a Bigger Issue
RedState ^ | Sept. 6, 2022 | Bonchie

Posted on 09/06/2022 1:10:56 PM PDT by libstripper

As RedState reported previously, Democrat senatorial candidate John Fetterman pulled out of the first debate that was set to be held in Pittsburgh. The excuse provided was that Mehmet Oz, the Republican challenger in Pennsylvania, wasn’t taking the race seriously.

You see, Fetterman running a campaign centering on memes, vegetable jokes, and repeating “New Jersey” over and over is a sign of his seriousness. But Oz calling Fetterman out for refusing to debate? Well, that was crossing the line. Did I mention this race has been absurd?

Of course, everyone knows that Fetterman isn’t debating because he physically can’t debate. Months after suffering a massive stroke, his recovery appears to have plateaued. Video clips of him giving short speeches (typically 2-5 minutes) reveal a man who seems to struggle with various processing functions and who is far from a picture of health.

Fetterman is lucky to be alive after that stroke. He's clearly in no shape to be running as a Senate candidate, let alone to be a senator. He's also a radical communist and a pathological liar.

I wonder what the process in PA is, to replace a candidate for elective office who won the primary, but withdraws before the general election. I’m sure Democrats are researching that right now.

They should have thrown Conor Lamb in.

I think he has a better chance than Fetterman.

Fetterman has a lot of prattling idiots on Twitter supporting him, but that’s not indicative of all the people that should slough off once they start paying attention.

Have Biden and Fetterman have a long, rambling live TV discussion. Up close and personal. Let it all hang out extemporaneously and unscripted.

Along with the sign language person they will need a gibberish translation one.

Kamela can laugh hysterically like the old TV audiences used to have planted laughers to make the show seem funnier and get the others laughing.

Our enemedia was going to ignore and deny this issue or try to make political hay because Republicans would question his health after having a stroke, but they finally realized We The People actually care about the cognitive and mental health of our Senators...not so much the guy who has the nuclear launch codes, but Senators - DEFINITELY!!

Fetterman must hide and run out the clock. Best thing is the basement strategy. Let the Socialists in the media keep the ball rolling for Fetterman.

Fetterman’s campaign says he has trouble with ‘auditory processing’. This means Fetterman is brain damaged and can’t understand speech. His campaign also mentions speech therapy, which is kind of a red herring. He may have speech problems, but if he can’t understand what people are saying, speech therapy isn’t going to solve that issue.

Oz has made a lot of concessions on the format of the debates. Oz says Fetterman can sit down at a desk, Fetterman can refer to notes, Fetterman can take freqeuent breaks. All that might help Fetterman, but it would also make Fetterman look weak and sick compared to Oz.

However, doesn’t really matter. Fetterman can’t debate. He’s hoping to hide in his basement (channeling Biden) until the election is over. Be interesting to see how far the press will go to run cover for him.

Democrat voters don’t care about any of that. They just do what they are told.

The race is absurd

This race literally makes the South Park episode where the race is between a douche and a Turd Sandwich look regal and serious…

Your choice is literally between 2 things you would scrape off your shoe…

This is the third time I have posted this.

Back on June 4th when the issue first surfaced, I looked it up and posted the info here on Free Republic. As I noted at the time he would need to resign by AUGUST 3rd which we are now well past.

My June 4th post:

As usual, the reporter failed to actually tell us the deadlines. I found the law and it appears he has to resign within 85 days of the election which is about August 3rd.
See page 64.

Section 978. Withdrawal of Nominated Candidates.—(a) Any
person who has been nominated by any political party in
accordance with the provisions of this act, as a candidate for the office of presidential elector, United States Senator, Representative in Congress or for any State office, including that of senator, representative and judge of court of record, may withdraw his name from nomination by request in writing, signed by him and acknowledged before an officer qualified to take acknowledgement of deeds, and filed in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth. Any person who has been similarly nominated as a candidate for any other office may withdraw his name from nomination by similar request, filed with the county board of elections of the proper county. Such written withdrawals shall be filed with the Secretary of the Commonwealth or the county board of elections, as the case may be, at least eighty-five (85) days previous to the day of the general or municipal election. Such withdrawals to be effective must be received in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth not later than five (5) o’clock P. M. on the last day for filing same, and in the office of any county board of elections not later than the ordinary closing hour of said office on the last day for filing same. No name so withdrawn shall be printed upon the ballot or ballot labels. No candidate may withdraw any withdrawal notice already received and filed, and thereby reinstate his nomination.

A hell of a run on sentence.

They have to be replaced with in 75 days. See page 67.

Section 981. Time for Filing Substituted Nomination
Certificates.—(a) Substituted nomination certificates to fill vacancies caused by the withdrawal of candidates nominated at primaries or by nomination papers shall be filed with the Secretary of the Commonwealth or proper county board of elections, as the case may be, at least seventy-five (75) days before the day of the general or municipal election: Provided, however, That no substituted nomination certificate by a political body may be filed until after the primary election. ((a) amended Aug. 13, 1963, P.L.707, No.379)

(b) Substituted nomination certificates to fill vacancies
caused by the death of candidates nominated at primaries or by nomination papers shall be filed at the proper office at any time prior to the day on which the printing of ballots is started.

I have to assume that part (a) supersedes part (b) in that if they print the ballots before you get your replacement in, you are out of luck.
