‘They just ghosted her and she didn’t know what to do’: Subway worker, other customers pretend ‘Karen’ customer isn’t there after she’s rude
(Excerpt) Read more at dailydot.com ...
Subway isn’t exactly food anyway.
i make a very special footlong sandwich for you.
Hard to know what happened. However, old white ladies (often Democrats) tend to be horrible customers these days. Some customers should be fired, just as some employees should be fired. However, like I said, there needs to be more background information about this to have a solid idea of what happened.
The pictures accompanying the article do not show sufficient context.
The customer is always wrong. Live that motto.
Correct. It is pseudo food.
The video starts mid-rant. There is no video of what triggered the Karen response, so it is impossible to say if it was justifiable Karen or not.
The story doesn’t indicate what happened before she came out with the first ‘Finish my sandwich!’.
She could have been justified - or she could just be an obnoxious old woman.
Exactly.
Sign at a store: “The customer is always wrong”
The customer: “Your sign isn’t correct”
Store employee: “You’re wrong”.
Agree
We have no idea what happened prior to the vid.
Hard to make a judgment in this particular case since we don’t know what went on before. If, in fact, this customer started off as rude, the response by staff was appropriate and even laudable. They had other customers waiting. Nobody should put up with rudeness, including fast food workers.
Most of these places are high volume and high turn over. And the employees, generally, have thick enough skin.
The quickest way to get rid of an A**Hole is to just make the sandwich and cash them out.
Giving the workers the benefit of the doubt, and the following customers that just played along, and went along.
I suspect that this woman really went above and beyond to warrant this reaction.
Pareto Principle.
I’m surprised she didn’t pull down a display or something on her way out the door.
Used to get coupons in mail for Subway.
Pretty good deals-—and a foot long could be shared between 2 people.
Local Subway changed hands-—and new operator REFUSES to accept coupons.
This valley has a high retired population-—The new guy is making a big mistake.
Another stupid term “Ghosted”.
I think so, too. She was probably objecting to everything the employee did, and employee finally got disgusted. She has the general tone of an inveterate complainer.
