BUFFALO, N.Y. -- Bills rookie punter Matt Araiza and two others have been accused of gang raping a 17-year-old girl last year in a lawsuit filed in San Diego County Superior Court on Thursday.
The lawsuit, obtained by ESPN, involves allegations against Araiza and two of his former San Diego State teammates. The other men named in the complaint are Zavier Leonard, a redshirt freshman with the Aztecs, and Nowlin Ewaliko, who was a freshman last season but is no longer on the listed roster. All three are accused of rape, gender violence and false imprisonment.
God visited Adam shortly after his creation. God said to Adam “I have given you two gifts. They are amazing gifts, but there is one problem. The first gift is your intellect. This will separate you from all the animals. With your intellect, you will discover the laws of physics, you build magnificent buildings, write literature, create art and so many things that will reflect the power and glory of God in all you do.” Adam smiled.
God then said, “Adam, look between your legs. That is your penis. With your penis you will experience pleasure beyond your imagination, and will also fulfill may command to you go forth and multiply, filling the earth with people in my image.” Adam smiled again, but asked, “So what is the problem with my intellect and my penis?” God said, “Unfortunately, You can’t use them both at the same time.”
A screw?
You call the rape of a minor a screw?
God help your five kids.
Want to bet he is a Democrat voter/supporter? 😋
Gender violence? Pretty sad situation. I wonder if drugs or booze were involved?
We are dealing with this in Canada with the junior hockey team.
Apparently a minor was gang-raped by several hockey players who ran her through a train. The issue has gotten big enough that Canada is threatening to withold funding unless it gets dealt with.
A white guy, a black guy, and a Hawaiian.
At least the gang rape was properly diverse.
This is the guy who gained a lot of attention for an 82 yard-punt in a pre-season game.
So much for that.
I can only imagine how ‘romantic’ it must be to rape someone...
Just curious if there was a police report a year ago.
Araiza just last week signed a major-league NFL contract
what a coincidence!
He was already being dubbed as “The Punt God”.
His parents must be so proud. /s
That is a sucker bet.
First thing I notice is that this is a CIVIL case and not a criminal one. “If true”, this should certainly be handled in a criminal court, not a civil one. Not one seeking a large check.
A few things:
1. At this point, it is an allegation. How do you know it was rape? Groopies do things they regret later.
2. This may be someone looking for a settlement. Why wasn't the "rape" reported when it happened? Now that the kid has millions, it could be a winning lottery ticket
3. Did you miss the Kavanaugh hearings?
There was at least one college with prosecuted a similar case, even though the woman actively solicited the sex with the athletic team members. When the truth came out, they were exonerated, but had gone through h*ll with the accusation.
Did they know she was 17?
Did she tell them she was 18?
Did she show them fake ID?
It is entirely possible the young woman was a completely innocent victim.
I’m waiting to see if he gets criminally charged since the alleged victim was a minor. If not, then would this civil case just be a shakedown?
Really?
“She alleges that he handed her a drink, but she did not see him pour it. There is belief and information from Doe that it might have contained other “intoxicating substances” besides alcohol.”
So many reasons to stop supporting and watching pro football.
I guess you could call a rape a screw, right? I assume you are male. If a person drugged you and mauled you including injuries to your sexual parts, would it be a rape? Or a screw? Think carefully.
Allow me to translate: the “victim” was extremely drunk, fully consented to sex, later regretted what happened, went to the police who declined to prosecute because the case was so weak, and Now is trying to shake down an NFL player.
This could well be what is happening.
Let’s see what happens legally. But if this is a civil case, not criminal, that right there causes doubt as to what really happened, casts doubt on allegations of forcible rape.
