I first heard about SWATting in relation to the activities of Brett Kimberlin, the Speedway Bomber. He served time for his crimes and was ultimately released in 2001. Later on, people who discussed his crimes on the internet were subject to such things as SWATting and harassment lawsuits, courtesy of Kimberlin and his friends.
The hope by the person calling in the fake emergency requiring a swat response is that the person/people being swatted will be killed. This is an extremely dangerous situation & anyone “swatting” should be charged with a crime & go to jail for a very long time. IMO, swatting someone is attempted murder.

That’s a political act, against a elected member of Congress. The penalty should be to hang by the neck till dead. I may not agree with many people in Congress, but endangering lives like this for political reasons is Treason. Start Hanging the left wing nuts.

One might think that when the subject is a politician who is an adversary of the regime, that police officers might take extra care before executing the SWAT raid because it might be fraudulent. Nope.

Several years ago my fumble-fingered wife tried to call my old cell phone, but mistakenly called 911. She just thought she’d got a wrong number, apologized and hung up. A few minutes later two police officers showed up and gave both of us the third degree for about 20 minutes. They thought I was abusing her and probably weren’t amused by our “deer in the headlights” response. That was not a good feeling to realize I was only seconds away from being slammed to the floor and hauled to the pokey. Quite a price to pay for a butt dial.
