“Last night, I was swatted just after 1 am. I can’t express enough gratitude to my local law enforcement here in Rome, Floyd County. More details to come,” Taylor Greene wrote on Twitter on Wednesday morning.
“Swatting” is commonly defined as “the action of making a false report of a serious emergency so that a SWAT team (= a group of officers trained to deal with dangerous situations) will go to a person’s home, by someone who wants to frighten, upset, or cause problems for that person”. The act usually involves heavily armed police.
The act of “swatting” has been applied to a number of anti-establishment figures in recent months, with former Trump advisor Stephen K. Bannon being swatted at his Capitol Hill townhouse, and YouTuber Tim Pool experiencing the same several times over in the past year, sometimes while live on air.

The hope by the person calling in the fake emergency requiring a swat response is that the person/people being swatted will be killed. This is an extremely dangerous situation & anyone “swatting” should be charged with a crime & go to jail for a very long time. IMO, swatting someone is attempted murder.
It is a standard method of DOXing, hoping that the other person gets killed.

Yup. That’s the purpose. To get people killed.
Simple observation. The victims of swat raids are *always* on the right. *Always*. The Left wants to kill its opposition.
I was actually SWATTED two nights ago. My alcoholic brother who used to live with me 5 years ago (for a few months) decided it would be fun to call the new suicide hotline (it’s like 911) repeatedly, and the police have to respond to do a wellness check, and it’s also in CA law that pranking that # isn’t a crime (I have no idea why not). The sheriff showed up looking for my brother and I politely turned him away.
No personal info required on some prepaids (I have one - encouraged to have an ‘account’, but not required).
Only if they're white males.....
Didn’t something similar happen to Boebert recently?
IMHO
That act is one of terrorism that could easily ended in violence.
That’s a political act, against a elected member of Congress. The penalty should be to hang by the neck till dead. I may not agree with many people in Congress, but endangering lives like this for political reasons is Treason. Start Hanging the left wing nuts.
My question exactly. Whenever a 911 call is placed, the police instantly know where that call is coming from. Even if it's a cell phone. They should be prosecuting the people placing the false reports to the fullest extent possible, especially as the consequences can be so serious. One or two high profile prosecutions and this nonsense comes to an end overnight.
As an aside, one of my sons called 911 as a prank when he was about 12 years old. Within minutes I had three police cars in my driveway. We had him come outside and apologize to the officers who responded. This was taken very seriously back then and we considered ourselves lucky that no further action was taken.
Funny how this never happens to Democratic politicians who probably *are* holding underage gay sex slaves prisoner in their basements.
the fbi has top people working on it
if they don’t find who did it, it’s because they don’t want too...
The offender needs to be charged with multiple counts of attempted murder, one of each armed officer who responded.
Buy any old phone don’t activate it. You can still dial emergency.
Podcaster/commenter Tim Pool has been swatted a number of times.
Burner phone.
One might think that when the subject is a politician who is an adversary of the regime, that police officers might take extra care before executing the SWAT raid because it might be fraudulent. Nope.
Mostly peaceful left wing extremists use this comical tactic. Which it turns out isn’t funny at all.
