HOUSTON, Aug 22 (Reuters) - U.S. crude inventory in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve (SPR) fell by 8.1 million barrels in the latest week to the lowest level in more than 35 years, according to data from the Department of Energy.

What’s the sense of having a SPR when the democrats are going to use it for their own political ends? They’ve done it with the military and their woke ideas.
WTI is at $90.67. When oil falls to $84.50: Buy with the cash earned from the SPR selling at >$100.00 and start to rebuild the supply.
Of course that move would send the WTI price upward.

So, one more month to go in the drawdowns, or, is August the 6th month?
Luck would then be major supply disruptions by a hurricane immediately after the drawdowns conclude.
This is the point in the Biden story arc where gas goes back up $.70/gallon and Democrats start questioning his fitness for office, to save themselves.
A good question is what are our military’s estimated needs in the event of a major conflict?
Trump filled it with $20/bbl oil and Barak drains it for the midterms which he considers an emergency.
They’re going to empty it - if not literally, then practically.
The administration has announced the sales will end right around election time. Those sales have lowered the price at the pump by about 40 cents by adding about a million barrels a day to the market.
And, the winter heating season is coming. Enjoy.
Yeah, once the US’s SPR is sufficiently depleted, look for the oil refineries to get sabotaged and shut down. All part of the plan to “fundamentally change America” per the Obozo’s promise.
Sounds like a good idea. At least as long as nothing happens in the meantime like, say China starting a war where our military needs lots of fuel at a time when trade routes are blockaded. The purpose of that reserve is not supposed to be for politicians to use as a slush fund or to paste over bad policy in the lead up to an election.
If this doesn’t wake people up, nothing will.
