GOP slashes ads in key Senate battlegrounds (PA, OH, NC)

As midterm election campaigns heat up in the Senate’s top battlegrounds, the National Republican Senatorial Committee is canceling millions of dollars of ad spending, sending GOP campaigns and operatives into a panic and upending the committee’s initial spending plan.

The cuts — totaling roughly $13.5 million since Aug. 1 — come as the Republicans’ Senate campaign committee is being forced to “stretch every dollar we can,” said a person familiar with the NRSC’s deliberations. Republican nominees in critical states like Ohio, Pennsylvania and North Carolina — places the GOP must defend this fall — have failed to raise enough money to get on air themselves, requiring the NRSC to make cuts elsewhere to accommodate.

Since Aug. 1, the NRSC has cut ad buys in the battleground states of Pennsylvania ($7.5 million), Arizona ($3.5 million), Wisconsin ($2.5 million) and Nevada ($1.5 million), according to the ad tracking service AdImpact. Separately, a Democratic source tracking advertising buys estimated roughly $10.5 million in cuts by the NRSC since the first of the month.

“People are asking, ‘What the hell is going on?’” said one Republican strategist working on Senate races. “Why are we cutting in August? I’ve never seen it like this before.”

While the scale of these cuts is unprecedented, the NRSC is also ahead of its typical schedule on its ad spending, having already spent $36.5 million on television spots this cycle, as opposed to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee’s $1.9 million to date. Sen. Rick Scott, who chairs the NRSC, announced earlier this year the campaign committee would be spending sooner than in years past. It was a necessary change, Scott said, to prevent Democrats from having the airwaves to themselves all summer.

Better a flaming turd dropped from a demon’s ass in the depths of hell than a RINO. They are the reason the country is in trouble.

You do not know that to be the case at all. Many people said the exact same thing about Trump if you can remember back to then. This just shows that the republicans must have something to lose by not backing the candidates of their party.

That something they have to lose is their gravy-train access to the American citizen's back pocket, as well as, insider trading information. It also signals that they are aligned at the hip with their supposed opposition party, and are not our representatives at all.

We must start filling the gap. Send one dollar to each candidate. If the 74 million people who support real changes does this, we would be donating 74 million to each of our candidates. It would cost each of us no more than $100.00, and most likely far less than that figure.

Trump endorsed candidates in trouble.>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Buahahahahahahahaha!

Do you thinnk that Trump endorsed candidates need a lot of money? Trump did not .

After the RAID , donations to Trump have tripled. And the support of Trump endorsed candidates has sky rocketed.

Watch what happens in Wyoming today. The money is being cutback because its futile to spend it on RINOs who are going against Trump endorsed candidates.

This article is nothing but an attempted Democrat troll of the MAGA movement.

We are winning so big that there will be a gross reduction of RINOs in Congress.....as we saw in Arizona, the main reason for the desperate raid of Mar A Lago last week.

We are winning Bigly~!

Been to PA lately?

Trump candidates aren’t in trouble.

This is the GOP either trying to save money and/or sabotage the election.

“Trump endorsed candidates in trouble.”

BS. Overall, Trump endorsed candidates have an excellent track record. I expect JD Vance to win in Ohio.

“flaming turd dropped from a demon’s ass in the depths”

Or “straight from Satan’s bunghole”, as Saul Goodman would say.

In MI you have to kiss the ring and staff of the ruling class GOPe to get money. Heard “our friends wouldn’t like that” when discussing MAGA issues, especially when power companies, china, 2nd A, and social matters involved.

have failed to raise enough money to get on air themselves, requiring the NRSC to make cuts elsewhere to accommodate.

This is quite pitiful. Why do base MAGA supporters seemingly sit on their behinds and keep their wallets closed? Winning races is more than about showing up to a rally and having a party. Their Democrat opponents are making money hand over fist. This same thing was done to Trump in 2020 requiring his campaign to cut advertising in some states. There are far more than 10 million people who that could send literally just $1 to each of these candidates and turn the tide...why is such a project not organized even after all of this time?

If the candidate you do send money to is an incumbent, that candidate is required to fund the NRSC or the NRCC from their campaign funds.

The Turtle rolls over yet again.

The turtle isn't rolling over. He is defending himself.

2 of the races mentioned (OH,NC) the republican candidate is very MAGA and would definitely vote against McConnel for Majority Leader. Oz, probably has no chance to win and even if he did, may hold an allegiance to Trump and vote against McConnel. He is doing this to conserve his power and wait out the storm.
