Democrats inched ahead of Republicans on FiveThirtyEight’s generic congressional ballot average on August 10 — less than four months from the midterm election night.
FiveThirtyEight updated their generic congressional ballot average on Wednesday to show Democrats have a slight advantage over Republicans.
The average showed generic Democrats with an average of 44.2 percent and generic Republicans with an average of 44 percent.
The average from FiveThirtyEight looks at polls from Morning Consult, Rasmussen Reports, Ipsos, Data for Progress, and YouGov.

The abortion issue is moving the needle for their base, especially the young voters. And soccer moms.
The only question is how much? The Hispanic vote is alienated by the woke elitist Democratic bloc in the party.
Polls like this are meant to provide cover for the steal. So when the steal happens they can refer to the polls and say the polls said so.
Why wouldn't you want to vote Democrat?
POLL꞉ FBI Raid BACKFIRES Spectacularly on Dems as Panicked Biden HIDES Under His Desk!!!
They started to poll the dead, anticipating the actual Election Day result
It’s amazing to me how they can’t. What more does he have to do. And this isn’t soMething new. He’s been like this from Day 1.
One would think, with the illegal immigrant tsunami and his work with Tillis on an amnesty bill, that there’d be an effort asking him to resign his seat.
Complacency kills everything.
Real Clear Politics has basically a tie, with GOP ahead 0.1 points. https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/other/2022-generic-congressional-vote-7361.html
I can say the same about elections these days.
They are the party of no. And republicans when in power can’t get anything done. One tax bill that sunsets in 2026 for most Americans is not impressive regardless of the cheerleaders. If they were serious, they would have done an across the board 10 percent flat tax. But no. Too much love for their deductions. Pitiful!
44.2 % versus 44 %???
What’s the plus or minus?
Why, they don’t show that, friends.
So even, more or less.
Still seeing the wave. Red crashing ashore.
Professional liars.
There’s probably a bit of truth to these numbers. Many people have short memories and vote with their emotions at the moment. For example, the recent drop in gas prices has made some people think “things are getting better.” My lib friends on Facebook are gleefully pointing out, “Look! Gas prices have dropped from $4.59 to $3.77 in the last month! Happy days are here!” Of course, they are hoping people forget that gas was $1.69 here two years ago.
From now until the Mid-term elections, the corrupt MSM and the corrupt pollsters with heavily weighted towards Dems results, will be incrementally showing the races as closer and closer in order to demoralize Pub voters and depress the vote. No rational thinking conservative should give any credence to most any polls taken between now and the election, as most all of them will be fraudulent prima facie.
The pollsters do this year after year when an election is coming up, trying to make it more of a horse race than it really is. What it is going to be is a red wave wipe-out, regardless what the pollsters concoct for their own nefarious reasons. Just vote and give us the win by the widest of margins. Mission accomplished.
Polls have earned so much credibility in the past few elections...(yes that is sarcasm) I don’t think this one will make me cry myself to sleep.
However many people show up, more will show up by mail truck.
Just like the other disappointment in Texas.....Dan Crenshaw!
I prefer demokkkommies myself.
Absolutely...odd that not much is heard from him these days, after him being all over the place in the early days. I guess folks finding out that you’re part of Schwab’s, Up and Comer’s, has a way of doing that.
Yes - inept messaging. Ads focusing on graphics, special effects rather than making simple points.
Coupled with the fact that the Democrats have a 24/7 pro-Democrat, anti-Republican media machine churning out propaganda we are at a huge disadvantage.
Don’t believe any Pre-Labor Day polling.
