This is one of those posts where the story is less about the incident and more about the fact that NBC News decided to pick it up and make it national news. That’s a thing you have to watch with media: not only the spin they put on stories, but which stories they choose to pursue and which they choose to ignore.
We’re learning that chef Gordon Ramsey is facing backlash on TikTok (oh no!) for suggesting that a lamb looked “yummy.”

Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay is facing backlash on TikTok from some users after posting a video in which he appeared to select a lamb to slaughter for a meal.
On Thursday, Ramsay posted a video of himself climbing into a pen of roughly ten pristine, white lamb. In the video, Ramsay rubbed his hands together while repeatedly saying “yummy.”
“I’m going to eat you,” the chef said to the group of lamb.

“What a classless, out-of-touch and heartless way to treat another sentient being,” one person wrote in a duet video.
Another person accused Ramsay of “animal abuse.”
“Do you think that grown men should be teaching children on TikTok that animal abuse is funny,” the person wrote in their response.
Won’t somebody think of the children!

I hope Gordon either ignores all those snippy Vegans or goes out of his way to Ooh and Aah over the next delicious plate of Lamb Chops. At first I thought this might be Muslims finding something to get insulted about, but I don’t think so. This sounds like the work of Vegans. They have become very aggressive in Europe.
