I have been watching many such videos for three years now. The $$$ amount of the total of the flood destruction is seemingly inestimable.
Buildings, old and new, are one thing but infrastructure and flood control levies are another. What truly amazes me is the number of flooded automobiles. Flood damaged/destroyed automobiles must measure in the tens of thousands.
I’m not making any predictions, but the Chinese are not big on losing face. Especially after they’ve made such direct statements to an adversary.
Then they should have thought twice about what they were saying before they said it. At this point there is no choice but to go.
It has a mind of its own. It feeds the greed of its member parts with corruption and debauchery to increase its (The Beast's) power and their addiction.
As an aside, when I call it The Beast, I don't necessarily mean to conflate it with the Biblical Beast. But, OTOH, I don't mean to disassociate it either.
It is what it is. There are clear parallels.
What is mysterious is why, given what they knew, did they build it?
And they also know it is a military target of great interest. What are they doing to defend it? Or, if they are not, why?
Doesn't take a genius to figure out their motive. We live in dangerous times!!!

The dam is merely a portion of the whole massive Three Gorges project.
Up stream from the dam, miles and miles of what they call dams and we call levies were constructed to prevent flooding of incalculably immense square miles of excellent farm land. In 2020, for the first time, the flooding along the Yangtze river system released more water than the three Gorges project could handle.
To remedy that flooding, the upstream levies all along the river were deliberately breeched allowing the flood to be absorbed by the ancient flood plains. The Three Gorges dam was then able to contain the remaining but still exceptional flow volume.
It seems the Three Gorges project design controlled flooding for years until the massive rainfall of summer 2020. The river flood monitors knew that the levies must be breeched and when the flow began to exceed the design capacity, they breeched the levies and reduced the flood pressure. The flood control engineers very well understood the problem and under carefully administered conditions exerted control on the flooding.
Having controlled the flood did not eliminate the high water and the severe consequences to buildings and infrastructure built within the flood zone. Nor did the control save the square miles of agricultural crops protected by the breeched levies.
Pelosi is on a Last Hurrah spectacle. She is making her final appearance on the world stage before being violently thrown from the cast.
At present, China is in economic and political flux that places on hold any military venture to invade Taiwan. Pelosi lacks the political power to make the deal you suggest.
She is a vain old lady trying to keep up appearances.
And, of course, Wuhan and Shanghai are downstream from the dam.

Remember in DieHard2 when the terrorists somehow took over the air control tower and were able to mess with the planes altimeter making it believe the plane was 200 feet higher than it actually was.

WW3XL is not the likely result of any Pelosi Taiwan visit for perhaps two additional reasons.
Pelosi is not only "a friend", but also represents an important worldwide marketplace connection. She certainly has a well-used back line of communication into China as does her husband and many of her elite DEM globalist supporters. That part of America is very useful and important to China.
Secondly, China may very well view Pelosi as a key political figure who sits immediately behind a fragile president and a useless VP, both of which could be removed almost overnight by the anti-MAGA party in power with little effort. Biden is performing as predicted but his last days are quickly approaching.
Of course, those on each side recognize that option depends entirely on that party remaining in power.
She HAS to go now. Not going will be a disaster for the US in the Indo/Pac region and others are watching as well.
