Just started reading about this, so I'd say straight up I'm fairly ignorant.

What I've read about allowing HHS to negotiate an increasing number of prescription drug prices over the next several years is a positive unless you're on the PFE board.

Here comes higher taxes to slow inflation.
What we need is a balanced budget and less debt.

It's all distraction. One thing is happening.. collapse. Doesn't matter what anyone does. Can make it better or even stay the same. The losers and promisers are interchangeable NPCs.

I've no answers, maybe someone does but they'll never tell.

Well said. What blows me away is that any family or corporate budget would take the debt issue seriously, but the Fed approach is to keep kicking the can down the road.

man-made “hot spots”:

27 July: WattsUpWithThat: New Surface Stations Report Released – It’s ‘worse than we thought’
by Anthony Watts
MEDIA ADVISORY: 96% OF U.S. CLIMATE DATA IS CORRUPTED

Official NOAA temperature stations produce corrupted data due to purposeful placement in man-made hot spots

Nationwide study follows up widespread corruption and heat biases found at NOAA stations in 2009, and the heat-bias distortion problem is even worse now...

What “unintended” consequences. The deleterious effects of their ongoing assault on our freedom and quality of life is an integral part of their plan

So, prepare for counter-productive unintended consequences?

I would guess that many will be intended, only not revealed as such.

Our hopes have been dead, now our republic as well. We will learn to live under the boot.

If causing and/or deepening a recession is a way to fight inflation, then this plan will probably work.

It's pretty pathetic when stagflation is the goal.

Spend more taxpayers money and raise taxes to fight inflation. Yeah, that’ll work. *shesh*

Understanding the basic concept that inflation is a condition in which too few goods and services of supply are being sought by too many demand dollars, Ronald Reagan did not increase taxes but cut taxes.

To increase taxes as Biden’s new bill does to the tune of $313 billion + $124 billion plus loophole $14 billion = $ 1/2 trillion, will choke supply, only worsening inflation.

The assumption that prescription drug pricing “reform” will generate $288 billion is fanciful in the extreme and will probably result in only more government spending and generating unforeseen consequences such as big Pharma cutting production, expensive research or moving offshore. Certainly big Pharma’s lobbying efforts to find loopholes will be greatly accelerated and undoubtedly with some success.

Even assuming $300 billion in deficit reduction as advertised, that will not reduce inflation unless that money is taken out of circulation. Does anybody in his right mind think that Gubment, possessed of a windfall of $300 billion will reduce the deficit with it rather than find more special interests to please or constituents to pander to?

This new Green-Wheenie bill would outlaw trucks and SUVs by 2030.

$5 gas would be a steal compared to the crap in this bill.

Get ready to be forced to drive one of the new elec exploding golf carts or ride pubic transportation everywhere you go.

Senators have to be in chambers for a vote (Unlike the house). I would imagine they won't be testing any Dems for Covid until the vote is done.

Who else is sick...and will be wheeled in?
