All of the pipeline supply would come to a rapid halt, if the Western Oil services companies would pull out of Russia. The Russians have no technical expertise in slant drilling or fracking, as well as many other modern services needed to keep the fields producing.
I expect a pipeline to run from Russia to Iran as well because the new axis is coming together.

This was part of the US$400 billion plan signed between China and Russia some years ago to incrase natural gas sales to China. Which is really important because China needs to aggressively move away from coal-fired power plants to clear up the dirty air over China’s major population centers.
