100% True. Remember Manchin vote FOR the $1.9 Trillion spending package that caused most of (if not all) of this inflation. He knows his state; he knows his constituency and he will do whatever it takes to stay in office. Do not think of him as a principled conservative.

It most certainly is. It is the job of the President to carry out the will of Congress. He does not have the power to make policy on his own.
Let us hope that a federal judge quickly strikes down this attempt by Biden to rule by decree.

We predicted this. Once they realized we’d allow our rights to be pushed aside over an ‘emergency’ then why stop with a pandemic? It’ll now be ‘climate emergency’ and ‘gun violence emergency’...whatever the left wants will just be done under this banner.
Who is pulling the chains here? It certainly isn’t Biden. This country is out of control.
Every time they declare an emergency we lose more rights.
What if the ‘green agenda’ is actually being pushed by the oil companies? It would seem illogical...but if you’ve a finite resource to sell wouldn’t you want to limit the production and make as much money as possible by raising prices due to lack of supply?
When the republicans regain the House they can add one more charge to the Articles of Impeachment.
That would just solve the dumblecrats “what to do about Joe” problem.
How about a ‘China emergency’?????

D’s don’t really think ahead...two can play at this game.
Ok, I’ve scanned all 137 National Emergency Powers, and 90% or more of them deal with military matters. A scattering of them are super-specific (Like BAROE ISLAND IN THE PANAMA CANAL ZONE CAN BE REMOVED FROM NATURAL-PROTECTED-STATUS). The only two that I saw that could be troublesome are:
1) The ability to shut down modes of communication that emit electromagnetic energy (between two seperate wavelengths). While this is directed at radio and TV stations, it could be twisted to apply to the internet. But, on the other hand, it only allows a shutdown. Shutting these things down could not possibly help against ‘climate change’, and a shutdown isn’t exactly helpful to the government in general.
2) The ability to seize oceangoing vessels with just compensation to the owners, pressing them into the Merchant Marines.
There’s another one that MIGHT be huge:
3) The Secretary of Transportation may “Undersecretary of Transportation authorized to coordinate domestic
transportation, among other duties...” That’s all it says. This could be twisted to apply to personally owned vehicles, and it does not specify the powers. It is also an unlimited Presidential power.
I've scanned all 137 presidential powers available on the declaration of a national emergency, and few of them can begin to address a 'climate emergency', and NONE of them can address a 'firearms emergency'.
The only reason why there was any traction on Covid is because there are certain abilities of HHS to remove certain restrictions on medications ... like the vaccines.
And Biden has Executive Orders already written (for him) and ready to shut down commerce and movement in this country.
I wonder if there is a provision for marking people to track their carbon expenditures?
See my above posts. There’s not a lot of abilities granted to Obama... I mean, Biden. If he declares the ‘emergency’, it’s for show, only.

See my above posts. The only one that gets close is the ability of the Undersecretary of Transportation can 'coordinate' transportation. It's a very broad statement but I believe any court in the land would clobber any attempts to abuse it. As for commerce, there are no powers available to the president, at all.
