ill Biden has said her husband 'had so many hopes' when he got into office, but there were 'problems of the moment' that needed to be addressed first.
The First Lady, 71, spoke at a fundraising event for the Democratic National Committee in Nantucket, Massachusetts, on Saturday.
'[The President] had so many hopes and plans for things he wanted to do, but every time you turned around, he had to address the problems of the moment,' she told donors at the event.
Early on Sunday, President Biden arrived back at the White House from his four-day Middle East tour
Joe Biden had accused a Saudi official of lying about the topics discussed in his private meeting with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, while again downplaying his infamous fist bump with the prince.
The image of the friendly fist bump drew harsh backlash from the publisher of the Washington Post and the widow of Khashoggi, who was killed in a gruesome assassination that US intelligence services say bin Salman ordered.
He's just had so many things thrown his way,' she added.
During his presidency, Biden has faced Russia's war in Ukraine, the pullout of troops from Afghanistan, rising inflation and the overturning of Roe v Wade.
The remarks come after a New York Times poll recently found 64 percent of Democratic voters would prefer a candidate other than Biden in 2024.

When politicians talk about hope, it's mostly about their hope that they will get elected. When Obama talked about Hope and Change and the Fundamental Transformation of America, he was talking about him getting elected. With Biden it was the same.

Leftists have an innate inability to foresee, or they just ignore, the consequences of their actions.
Killing the Keystone pipeline and fossil fuels caused a major part of the current inflation. Not Putin, not Russia, not Ukraine, not Saudi Arabia, not Trump. That one is on you, Joe. What did you think would happen by trying to kill off the source of energy that has sustained the world since the Industrial Revolution?

It is surprising to hear presidents and their sycophants whine about how hard the job is. They should have known that going in.
Coming from the wife and woman of a man she knew had serious cognitive issues and still ‘puppeted’ him through the campaign and now.
