To end the day, they climbed around several UH-60 Black Hawks and felt what it's like to sit behind the helicopter's steering system.

Thanks. I was out there quite a while waiting for the clouds to thin enough to be able to get anything decent. The moon was a complete blur in the earlier attempts.
WOW!! You had 80s today??? Bet that felt awesome to the poor kitties after the heat they’ve endured. And to everyone else who’s had to be outside.
We were in the 80s too. The front was slow to move through and clouds kept our temps down. And it stayed humid. The clouds finally moved out just around sunset and the air was instantly drier.
But those darn clouds lingered in the east.

Any word on whether or not they’re even looking for a new person? They never seem to be in any hurry.

Did you and Gizmo have to dodge crowds again yesterday or did you have the lake to yourselves?

Well, if you can’t see that huge moon, I hope you do get some rain. It would be a good second choice. :) Sounds like y’all are having the same problem we are here in the west....and in parts of the east.

It started out really hot, then got cloudy like it was going to rain, and the temp went down about 15 degrees. It was wonderful for a while, and yes, the kitties seemed very happy. Right now it’s “only” 78 which is lower than it’s been in such a long time at this time of the night.
I’m sorry you didn’t get any rain, but with it drier there, too, maybe it was tolerable to get out in?

Well, I’m getting really sleepy since I didn’t get a good nap today, so I’ll head out for the evening. Hope you have fun at the museum this weekend, and we look forward to who you got to talk to on your tours. See ya Saturday!

Too bad you didn’t get some rain with those clouds. You need that more than the cooler temps but at least you got those out of the deal.
It was a bit cooler here today but still steamy. The clouds started breaking up early in the afternoon and it got uncomfortable pretty quick. I didn’t need to go anywhere so it didn’t matter.
The humidity didn’t drop until it was dark. I was almost chilly when out to take pix of the moon. It’s a delicious 66 degrees now.
Too bad it going to heat up again Friday.
