A new poll has found that Democrats and Republicans are neck and neck in the upcoming midterm elections, with Democrats citing gun violence as their number one concern even as the economy continues to tumble.
The Sienna College Research Institute poll, conducted on behalf of the New York Times between July 5 and 7 among 849 registered voters, found the race to control Congress is tight, with voters preferring Democrats to Republicans by just one percentage point, 41%-40%. Nineteen percent of respondents remain undecided.
However, among likely voters, the Times noted that 44% favored Republicans while 43% expressed support for Democrats in congressional races.

I’d like to see Baris’s takedown. Can you link?
Republicans and Conservatives still refuse to accept the political reality of demographic change in the USA.
New immigrant citizens vote 65%-70% Democrat.
If the Democrats get their LEGAL voters to the polls, control of Congress will be a 50-50 toss up.
If the Democrats get their LEGAL voters to the polls in a presidential election, the GOP can only win in the Electoral College.
In the last 8 presidential elections, the GOP has won the popular vote only one time - GWB, in 2004, with 50.7%.
There is further polling:
If gas prices double, and inflation becomes 30% per month, and there is a nationwide food shortage, and riots are commonplace all over America....
..... Democrats are favored to win the midterms in a landslide!
And right now McCarthy and McConnell are giving us a whole lot of nothing...
Hope it motivates apathetic Repubs.
Quote: “You just described Neo-Con fox news.”
Yup, there is such a disconnect between their news shows and their evening programming. It used to be that their news would be reporting from a perspective not shown on the others. No more.
I prefer this actually. Keeps the voters on the right from thinking it’s in the bag. Something I have started to get concerned about. Rigging all the House elections is not as easy as the statewide Senator elections either.
The Republican wing of the Uniparty over played their hand regarding abortion. Had they an ounce of political savvy they would have simply and quietly let the decision stand and let the court take the heat. The results would be the same and they wouldn’t have mobilized the single-issue voters in their opposition
Bettors don’t believe the poll. Republicans are an 8 to 1 favorite to take control of the House in 2022 https://electionbettingodds.com/House2022.html .
Those same bettors favored Biden over Trump in 2020, accurately diagnosing the massive fraud that was about to happen.
Go to Google, type in Richard Baris Twitter and in one of the tweets posted, you can click on today’s People’s Pundit broadcast. He is very sharp and incisive.
BS on a stick.
“Sienna College”
any pollster with university or college attached to the name is BS. Quinnnipiac and Monmouth are perfect examples and especially Harvard Caps. It was just total nonsense they had pence at 39% winning. I could go on..
Republicans want to lose. They hate the idea of winning
Facts?
Highest inflation 40 years.
Highest gas prices in decades.
Highest food prices in decades.
Just a few facts.
The steal has begun, led by Fox News.
Karl Rove poll.
BS...unless they cheat again.
I am going to take a wild guess and say we will see more idiotic polls where the Dems are taking the lead simply to help them fund raise.
No one wants to donate to a party that has zero chance of winning but if you get some poll saying it’s close? Well some American might toss ya a few bucks
Hannity is a grade a Neo- Con. Meanwhile, Trumpism within the GOP is building a multiracial working class Regan- Trump party. Bushie Fox News tut tuts from the golf course.
Burnt Sienna. Nice color.
