Why does anyone want to live in New York City? It’s a hell hole, dangerous and run by complete idiots. Move to California where everything is free. Don’t move to Florida or Texas.

Yeah, jumping through a bunch of hoops seeking state permission to exercise a right is the same as having no right at all.

That is correct. This is just more of the “may issue” instead of shall issue.

There was never a mention in the Constitution or amendments on abortion, yet the baby killers keep saying there was. But, there in the Constitution (2nd amendment) , in black and white, is the Right to Keep and Bear arms.

I don’t have social media. What if I were to apply?

Oh, that's a red flag there. Don't even bother.

Many years ago I was sent a psychological profile questionnaire for a job I was applying for (I know, bad grammar). It was 300 inane and invasive multiple choice questions. I flipped through the booklet and noticed this question “I get annoyed when others ask questions about my private life.”.I answered “Yes” and that was the only question I answered. I sent in the questionnaire. Didn’t get the job. ;o)

Will they be judging the applicant’s posts only, or the posts of their friends? Will they start digging into friends and family’s pages?

“Or let’s say one is on some relatively minor social media site or member of a political or firearms forum under an anonymous username and decides not to mention that fact? Would the jackboots be able to discover it on their own?”

Have you ever seen the NSA data center in Utah? Yeah, they will discover it, whatever and wherever it might be. They can’t “discover” vote fraud, they can’t “discover” anything on Hunter’s laptop, they can’t “discover” anything wrong with Hillary’s private (and illegal) mail server, but you can be sure they’ll find every word you ever posted, just as they had no trouble identifying everyone at the Capitol on 1/6, but can’t seem to identify the rioters who tried to burn a police station down with police inside.

WILL HUNTER BIDEN HAVE TO TURN OVER ALL OF HIS SOCIAL MEDIA ACCOUNTS, SINCE HE IS A GUN OWNER?

GOOGLE IS SUPPRESSING ANY STORIES AND BLOCKING ANY SEARCH REGARDING HUNTER BIDEN’S CONNECTION TO GOOGLE EXECS:

Hunter Biden’s hard drive contained an enviable lineup of contacts for top US officials tasked with overseeing the US-China relationship, and at least 10 senior Google executives — raising new questions about the extent to which Joe Biden’s well-connected son could have leveraged his connections for personal profit, The Post has learned.

I as well do not have social media. It is a great thing. One of my best friends in judging whether to hire someone or grant privileges to someone is getting on their social media as there are ways to search it. As no one forced people to say or out whatever pictures they want on their website page it is free for the taking as they made is public by putting it on the internet.

Lots of people will no be crying about the drunk posts they put on the web for all to see. If it disqualifies you by law from certain things or the privilege of a job that would be on the idiot who decided the nude pictures in front of 22 empty shot glasses. With freedom comes responsibility. If you are an idiot and proclaim it to the world then perhaps the consequences are what they are.

The internet is public domain. As a great professor once taught me — don’t put in writing that which you don’t want discovered.

Oh yeah, the NSA would undoubtedly be able to find anything anyone’s ever posted on any forum, as you said. But the job of vetting will be done by local (county) LEOs, not the Feds.

Nothing will happen to Joe or Hunter until Xi is finished with them.

A quick review of the law and definitions say that discussion sites are in fact social media. So one could reasonably argue FR and DU are indeed social media. But regardless of the definition, the minute you hit the post button you have placed something in the public domain and as such have given up voluntarily to keep things private.

The scary thing about social media is that people cheerfully and individually give up their rights and don’t think about it. It’s not Orwellian at all. No one is forced to put anything on any social media. But an awfully lot of people volunteer and awful lot of things that can be discovered. Now maybe all those posts we read where people threaten things no matter how tongue in chest suddenly don’t look so good.

Analytics are scary and the AI these companies are using blow my mid. It would probably take all of 20 seconds to have a complete listing of all social media posts and accounts consolidated into a single file.

Sure. But it will be a very large file for most people.

If it prevents most people from being able to obtain a permit, it is unconstitutional under the Bruen decision.

It would be interesting if AI is used to search such a file...

That I agree with. However the greater point is one can avoid all these issues by recalling silence cannot be misquoted. Under Miranda we have a right to remain silent. Many give it away on social media and then are surprised when words come back at them. Just because one doesn’t say anything to law enforcement nor on the internet does not convey a tacit statement of guilt or any particular position.

It is a sticky position. All the more reason to not say much, especially where there are not rights to confidentiality such as on the internet.

What the tyrannical fascist in NY means is:

“If you use your 1st Amendment Rights, we may well deny you your 2nd Amendment rights.”

Well, they can CLAIM I wrote all that stuff, but all my email accounts have been breached and reused by nefarious actors, and my static IP’s and MAC addresses have been spoofed.

Russia Russia Russia.

Oh, I forgot: Time to sue the shit outta any denials, heck, even a slight slowdown will cause a suit.

I think the best way to test this....have a friend who is Romanian or Greek....sign you up to some native language social media, and just copy and paste food recipe info into 300 entries. Then see what the idiot state guy does.

The last couple did IIRC. But if they know their posts are to be under scrutiny, they will simply scrub their accounts.
