Surveillance video captures the moment a Manhattan bodega worker allegedly stabbed a customer to death after the enraged man came around the counter and attacked him over a bag of chips.
The worker is first seen on the shocking video tending to customers from behind the counter at the Hamilton Heights Grocery store on Broadway — when he is suddenly confronted by a younger man.
The customer appears to yell at the store clerk, before shoving him into a shelf, the clip shows.
After several moments, the worker reaches to the right, toward shelves displaying candy.
He pulls out a large knife and plunges it into the younger man’s neck and chest — which quickly becomes covered in blood, the footage shows.

Stabbed guy looked for trouble and he found it. Once the stabbee went behind the counter this was self-defense. Only a criminal DA would charge this as murder.

Agreed. An old man being shoved around not knowing what to expect next from the hoodlum. The deceased didn’t expect a return of force, in this case lethal. Old guy handled himself well; feigned being resigned to the situation, and surprise, a bigger than expected knife and plunges to the neck and chest. The size of the knife clinched the deal. One less thug on the street to deal with. They’ll probably throw the book at him; he’ll need a good lawyer regardless. New York City, returning to the 70’s in all it’s hideous glory. Great new mayor, eh?
Yep, looks like he got the guy in the neck, probably damaged the main artery in the neck, after that it was curtains for the robber.
The thief looked to be significantly younger than the worker, the knife equalized the situation in a real hurry.

Police responding to reports of an assault at the bodega arrested Alba and charged him with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
Alba was being held on Rikers Island on $250,000 bail Tuesday and is due back in Manhattan court on Thursday.

I agree but the corrupt powers that be are probably afraid of repercussions from the down-trodden community in the form of riots of course bused in from all over the country to demonstrate the horror of a fine upstanding citizen just trying to get some chips.
