She thought nothing of it. ,, It was from CNN 10, formerly known as CNN Student News, a straightforward, fact-based news program for middle and high school students. She had shown the daily news program to students countless times, as had many other teachers around the country, including at Ragan’s Rocklin school.

.....

“If it’s all CNN, why not listen to OAN?” Nagelmann asked at the meeting, referring to the far-right, pro-Trump One America News Network.

....

On Facebook, Nagelmann posts often about conspiracy theories ranging from “chemical trails”

,,,to fake NASA and CIA documents that “prove” the Earth is flat and not rotating. ,,,,. ,,On Feb. 25, he posted that CNN “uses propaganda and mind control to get people upset and emotional.” But the conspiracy theories Nagelmann posts about most are related to COVID, including false claims that COVID vaccines are inherently dangerous, causing blood clots and even death.

.. Several of Nagelmann’s posts appear with a “False Information” warning from Facebook, and he has posted at least three times about being temporarily suspended from the platform...

The terms “straightforward” and “fact-based” do not belong in the same sentence with anything relative to “CNN” unless you are demonstrating what an antonym is.

Plus, they dug into and smeared the feloow who complained.

How about digging into the teacher’s background and seeing all her far-left opinions?

“So How long has CNN been the most common teacher in our countries classrooms”

For a few years now. I believe it is provided free, and sort of counts towards ‘current events’. Several of the teachers I sub for show it during the time lunch count/attendance is taken, or right before school is dismissed. It isn’t ‘regular’ CNN, but a program specially aimed at jr. high/high school kids. Not overtly political, but of course they do run with climate change and idiotic trends they think kids like.

You’re right, but leftists don’t see or understand that. They still think of CNN like it was in its halcyon days during the desert storm\desert shield operations to save Kuwait from Iraq. They don’t grasp and refuse to contemplate that CNN is just about the worst source for news their is now.

One thing I learned from CNN back when it held all airport audiences captive: All illegal aliens with sob stories drive new or late model vehicles. Why do you suppose that is?

You’d be surprised at how many people believe the earth is flat. I know one guy like that and he wanted me to find a long range laser so he could “prove it.” Lol

Sounds like the kind of crap Linda Ellerbee used to do on Nick News.

CNN during those “halcyon days” was knowingly omitting from its coverage that Saddam Hussein was holding their own local Iraqi reporter hostage and torturing the guy.

After inaccurately describing the far left CNN with its Turner econut theories as unbiased, the writer goes on as if Facebook is somehow an impartial judge authorized to determine what is and isn’t fake.

Noticed that too huh.

Imagine, when you were growing up thinking that law and order
were good things, and that one day you would be considered
to be a far right hard liner for daring to think that.

It’s been there for YEARS. The teachers have had this in their classrooms for so long, they think it’s all fair and balanced, and completely fact-based. No lies or misrepresentations ever.

I remember when my kids were in elementary school, and they had a little worksheet that was based off of a “Time For Kids” handout. It was like “Time magazine” but articles geared towards kids.

Well, this particular worksheet was a propaganda tool about global warming (what they called it back then). I went to discuss this with the teacher after class one day when I was picking my kids up from school. I pointed out all the misrepresentations in it. Things that were opinion but were stated like facts. Since the worksheet was trying to work on facts versus opinions, I thought it was appropriate. I’ll tell you what, that teacher had stuffing for brains, and told me she was just following what the teacher guide says were the correct answers. I told her point blank that was lame and to stop giving the kids this nonsense that was confusing them. She avoided me at all costs after that. Even the principal heard about it, and I talked with her when she broached the topic. Believe me, those teachers and the principal didn’t like it when I went in for discussions, because I could back up everything I said.

This was in the early to mid 90s, and that was a 3rd grade teacher I had to “educate”. This has been going on forever.

Sure it is. Just like everything on CNN.
