I think I left it blank. I know I didn’t vote Romney. And I confess: I wanted Obama to win. I wanted the GOP to be freed from the death grip of the foreign policy interventionists represented by Romney and McCain. For that freedom to happen, the GOP would have to lose - we couldn’t afford to have Romney as president, entrenching the interventionist faction in power. And things worked as I foresaw: Romney lost and it created an opening for a different kind of Republican - a Republican who said out loud that the Bush-Cheney invasion of Iraq was STUPID and the GOP must stop supporting these regime change wars.

Of course, he didn’t accept the offer, even if the alleged offer was real, which it may not have been. Wouldn’t have been prudent to accept the offer since it would end any presidential aspirations.
I’m in Wisconsin, at the time, Ryan was still pretending to be a conservative. You should have heard him around here for years, conservative through and through. He’d be on all the local radio talk shows, town halls, etc. He had it down pat, everyone believed him. Then the big betrayal. It all started with Romney.
