Another toasty day at the lake yesterday?

Have people been shooting off fireworks over the weekend, keeping poor Gizmo on edge?

The rain we had last night came up unexpectedly. Everyone had their fireworks set up and ready to go so yes, they’d have set them off around dry foliage.
It all started up at the same time and you can’t set up that many fireworks quickly. I just had a few and it took several minutes to set them out before firing them off. They had WAY more than I did. LOL
Fortunately we had the rain so all was well. No fires. No fires tonight either, apparently, since we heard no sirens.

I’ll keep an eye on the cam to watch the fireworks there. Too bad it’s so light there at night. Takes some of the fun out of it since they look so much better in the dark.
I hope a cam op will be around to aim the cam in the right direction.. Otherwise, we just get to see a few when the cam pans by that area.

At least it’s only one day a week. LOL Getting up early two days in a row hurts, but I love being at the museum so it’s worth it. I’m still ready to sleep in on Sundays though!

Hey folks, busy morning here at the homestead.

Our town's fireworks actually happened on Saturday. We of course were in the house and I slept right through it. The AC's muffled the fireworks outside so Giz didn't listen to too much of it.

We did have a little bit of cloud cover which made things a little more bearable for us at the lake yesterday. There were however storms coming from the South so we didn't stay too long but we did enjoy our trip yesterday.

Tippy did some “socialization” today, with another female Aussie Cattle Dog (otherwise known as “Tazmanian Devils”).

After snarling and snapping a bit, the two little Taz wannabees settled down and walked nicely together!
