Even though more voters identify as pro-choice than pro-life, full half of them approve of the recent Supreme Court ruling that overturned the 1973 Roe v. Wade decision.
A new Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 50% of Likely U.S. voters approve of the Supreme Court abortion ruling, including 38% who Strongly Approve of the decision, which means that each state can now determine its own laws regarding abortion. Forty-five percent (45%) disapprove of the Supreme Court’s new ruling, including 38% who Strongly Disapprove. (To see survey question wording, click here.)

If you were to believe the lying left and their lying media, you'd think support for abortion was 90% in this country. Far, far from the truth.
The half that Democrats and the MSM hate no less than communists hate Kulaks or Nazis hate Jews.
I’m sure the pollsters all fail to poll the fetuses.
I do not believe the poll. Feminists do not have the influence they had. The driving force are fossils
I guess that the Democrat’s disinformation campaign is not working.
And note that the half that disapproves is likely to live in CA, NY, MA or some similar state. Highly populated (and opinionated) Liberal bastions. So they retain complete freedom to have abortion any way they want it. That’s their choice.
You know, it is possible to be “pro-choice” and still think that Federal courts shouldn’t be the ones deciding this issue.
WOW
Honestly never would have guessed. Very nice to see. God has blessed us with this ruling!
The actual numbers in the camp of Kill Any Baby are likely single digit percentage.
Even among those who buy the My Body argument, most are not into wanton bloodshed, and they also do not know how babies are killed.
So did Ruth Ginsberg.
Can you imagine how the Leftist women would have hated her, if she joined
the majority on this.
What percentage of those against the ruling even understand what it said?
And Rasmussen weighs left..
It’s not pro-choice. It is pro-abortion. I’m pro-choice and I choose life.
Half don’t get how the constitution works
Polls are irrelevant
She never would have. She knows Roe is wrong, but she would never have voted to overturn it.
Two different questions, though.
Does someone think abortion should be legal vs should it be a state issue. I know people who think it should be legal who think it’s a state issue and people who want it utterly prohibited and are quite OK with the full force of federal government to do so.
Liberals are just as quick as any conservative to claim ‘state’s rights’ when it suits them, and many conservatives are quick approve of the feds regulating things they think are bad even if those aren’t specifically mentioned in the Constitution. Everyone loves the General Welfare clause, until they don’t.
There are about 60 million who were unable to participate in the survey.
“I do not believe the poll. Feminists do not have the influence they had. The driving force are fossils.”
You are correct. The baby boom feminist curse is subsiding, but these are accurate numbers if limited to the question at hand.
Rich Baris of People’s Pundit polls abortion regularly and he says the majority is super close, but changes massively among pro choicers if there is a heartbeat or the child can feel pain. The abortionists overreached, and lost their despicable practice through suing Mississippi over their very reasonable fifteen week rule.
lowers the role of the decision in the midterms
