There are Texas newsletters publishing Cornyn’s responses from constituents. If I can find one of them again, I will publish it. “Lit up” doesn’t describe it.

the dems will go for the whole enchilada

when repubs say no

the dems will blame the repubs and now they have their campaign issue

Exactly. What do we get?

Nationwide CCW reciprocity?

Taking suppressors out of the NFA?

I still won’t accept “red flag”, but if it’s a negotiation, our side should get something in return for whatever we’re giving up. Instead, the RINO negotiators supinely ask “just not so fast”. Ugh.

Sounds like with this Red Flag law crap and potentially losing your guns because a liberal relative got PO’ed because you had a Trump sign in your yard. It might be a good idea to get a couple “dummy” guns, old shotguns or a rusty .22, to display prominently in your living room, but keep your real “Stash” well hidden behind a wall panel or something. They can’t “Red flag” what they can’t locate.

That is exactly what rino Cornyn is running scared from-but he is not up for re-election for another 2 years, so there’s time to find someone who is the real deal to primary his ass. I don’t know a single neighbor or friend who did not also call his DC and/or local offices to call him on his BS negotiations-I hope all that verbal smacking burns real bad...

Don’t let the rats run out of rope. We’re gonna need that rope following CW-II. Lotsa rats, not enough rope.

Not to mention that when such a law was looked at by the USSC it was rejected 9-0. Last year. Caniglia v. Strom

I seldom contact politicians since they are not within my purchase range but I put a hot and heavy and loud comment on his phone over this item. I expect his phone melted from similar calls...

The bad part is that he has at least five more years as Senator... When he was running the last time, he never had an open forum that I am aware of, at least not in Central Texas. I wanted to barf in his face... He did pay a courtesy call on Fort Hood, 20 miles away, but no open meetings for the voters...

The Flores victory in South Texas probably got his attention big time... If the Hispanics are tired of liberal Washington, then the rest of us must be really PO’d...

I don’t think he wants the Governor’s job but rather the Senate Majority Leaders position. His nose is so attached to McConnell’s posterior that it points in a different direction every time the Turtle makes a turn.

BTW, he has four more years after this election...

numerical limits are the key

This will force the system to focus on genuine threats and not loose talk or false accusations.

The numerical limits will also force the system to do periodic reviews so guns get returned as well as just taken.

A politician should not shoot himself in the foot figuratively.

About 8000 people in Florida had their guns taken, probably 7900 too many.

The way the Democrats want “Red Flag” is like what the East German STASI did......get children to inform on their parents. They want anybody to be able to red flag a gun owner as dangerous just for ‘feeling unsafe’ and to abrogate their rights completely. They say ‘doctors, courts, etc.’ but the really mean your damned next door neighbor who thinks you don’t cut your grass frequently enough or whatever..

They canā€™t ā€œRed flagā€ what they canā€™t locate.

But they can tear your house apart looking for the firearms they were told you have.

Best not to complain when they start punching out the drywall searching for your "hidden gun storage".

If they don't find the weapons they are looking for, you could be charged with "obstruction of justice" since you obviously hid them too well.
