Perhaps in addition to trapping exhaled virus the masks help collect virus from the outside air making them available to inhale for longer periods of time.

Interesting how this study got buried. It came out in February.

The mask mandates themselves have increased the CFR by up to 85% in counties with mask mandates.

It is a very reputable journal. Just that it’s an observational study....same type that the CDC used to justify masks. Funny with all the billions the CDC has they can’t put a few million into proving the efficacy of masks with a RCT.
