Paul Ryan just slammed Republicans who didn't vote to impeach Donald Trump

Former House Speaker Paul Ryan has largely disappeared from the national political scene. Which makes what he said earlier this week about the House vote to impeach Donald Trump in 2021 all the more notable.

"There were a lot of people who wanted to vote like Tom but who just didn't have the guts to do it," Ryan said of South Carolina Rep. Tom Rice, who he had traveled to the state to endorse, according to the Myrtle Beach Sun News. "There are a lot of people who say they're going to vote their conscience, they're going to vote for the Constitution, they're going to vote for their convictions but when it gets hard to do that they don't do it." Rice is one of 10 House Republicans who voted to impeach Trump following the riot at the US Capitol on January 6, 2021. As I wrote at the time, Rice's vote caught Republicans by surprise as he had given little indication of his plan to break from his party.

Isn't it amazing how political pressure from constituents affects votes! But the "experienced" Paul Ryan can't fathom this.

As it stands now, four of the ten that voted to impeach aren't coming back to Washington next year (three retirements because they'd lose their primaries and one district elimination, and he wouldn't win a Republican primary in any other district). It Will likely be five out of ten after June, and then six or seven or even eight out of ten after August.

The Republican electorate doesn't like the type of phony "guts" it takes to impeach somebody who's leaving office in ten days.

But as usual Paul Ryan is aligned with the Democrat electorate.

What makes wusses like him tick?

Ryan thought he was the future of the GOP.

DJT had other ideas.

So Ryan is bitter…

we knew Ryan was anti-Trump before the election

anyone against Trump is helping the dems destroy the country.

Trump and those aligned with him, pushing America First and MAGA, are the only things supporting the country

Paul RINO never had guts. He talked a great game but when it came down to voting, he did exactly what his puppet masters (chamber of commerce, etc) told him to do.

My short dive years ago on this Fool was his only job before law school was as a driver for the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile.

That’s it, that’s all the real-world work experience the Fool had.

Then it continues, after law school which at least shows an ability to read, write, reason, or cheat, the Fool, with scarcely a penny to his name, runs for Congress and is elected ...... he’s got that cute face and all, and he’s a Repukacan with a nice smile, etc.

So he starts out virtually penniless and is then earning a congressional salary of about $174,000 per year.

Well ..... good on him!

But years later his net worth is $12,000,000.

Now how the Frick did that happen?

My findings: he was not an astute investor, he didn’t inherit anything, he didn’t marry a rich gal, .....

Houston, we have a problem.

It’s called The Swamp.

(was as a driver for the Oscar Meyer Weinermobile)

That’s oddly appropriate.

To think, I stood in line to vote for Mitt and him to vote against Barry.

It was as bad as voting for designated loser John McCain.

The illusion of choice.

I think they are starting to realize that Donald Trump may very well become president again and then he’ll be a position To take Rightful vengeance On the people that stabbed him in the back and the deep state.

I recall Rush having this worm call into his program sometime in January 2017. Ryan gave Rush a nice, long verbal hand-job for a few minutes about how great it is to be in control and the new President (all BS blather). I can picture Rush lying back in his chair with his eyes rolling back in his head as Ryan drowned on.

That’s the moment Rush lost me.

Ryan is the main reason the republicans lost the control of congress during the last mid-term because he hated Trump so much.

They impeached Trump a second time to prevent him from issuing pardons they did not like. If he had they would have made it impossible to run again.

Step off, Paul. You weren’t there when we needed you. You did little to nothing to stop or even curtail the “Progressive” agenda.

“Largely” needs to become “completely.” What a turd.
