With Russia’s war in Ukraine now in its fourth month, mainstream media consumers have been treated to seemingly endless headlines and analysis of Russia’s extensive military losses. At the same time Ukrainian forces have tended to be lionized and their battlefield prowess romanticized, with essentially zero public information so far being given which details up-to-date Ukrainian force casualties, set-backs, and equipment losses.
But for the first time The Washington Post is out with a surprisingly dire and negative assessment of how US-backed and equipped Ukrainian forces are actually fairing. Gone is the rosy idealizing lens through which each and every encounter with the Russians is typically portrayed. WaPo correspondent and author of the new report Sudarsan Raghavan underscores of the true situation that “Ukrainian leaders project an image of military invulnerability against Russia. But commanders offer a more realistic portrait of the war, where outgunned volunteers describe being abandoned by their military brass and facing certain death at the front.”
As many careful and less idealistic observers suspected the whole time, a steady stream of both wartime propaganda and one-sided social media feeds where it seems the only tanks being blown up are Russian ones has served to present a very skewed portrayal of the battlefield to the Western public. While it’s perhaps easier to get sucked into this pro-Ukraine bias based on the innumerable so-called open source intelligence self-anointed ‘experts’ on Twitter, this is less so if one wades into Telegram, where a flood of uncensored videos from both sides gives a truer picture, as the fresh report seems to also suggest…

So, how do we choose who to believe?
The reports that indicate that Ukraine is putting up a good fight, or the reports where Russia seems to be winning?
Isn’t this like the polls, where the lead changes all the time, but the one that counts is the final one in November?

Russia has overwhelming military superiority, but many on FR screech I’m a ‘putinista’ for daring to point that out. Apparently I’m supposed to just parrot whatever the MSM says, like my critics do. Russia won a long time ago, we’ve been watching mop up operations which the MSM has been propagandizing as overwhelming UK victories.

I can’t believe the US government handed $40B to Hunter Biden just because he promised us he’d win the war for Ukraine. What did he do with that $40B? It’s like it didn’t do any good at all. Like ... like ... like he spent it on drugs and hookers or something.

Where the hell are they?
Actually we were fortunate enough to get “real” though admittedly conservative Ukraine loss infomation.
Rybar had an inside source from the Ukraine General Command that provided the numbers Ukraine had collected. Though they made clear they were low because the National Guard stopped reporting after the first month. Other units stopped reporting when the commander was killed and still other units were categorized as “missing.”
And Ukraine will not accept their dead soldiers bodies from the Russians and lists them as “missing” for PR reasons.
But, still it was incredible to be able to see the actual reality. Rybar published the report daily until May 10th and then with no explanation it stopped. Maybe the informer was caught; maybe Rybar ran out of bribe money, who knows...:-)
But, it was great to get to see truth. So, here is the last one. You just have to add the last 3 weeks and all the data that was never reported.

Since the Russians are blaming this all on us, anyway, The CIA needs to remind them we spent 20 years in Afghanistan and still have soldiers in Iraq and they are losing 10,000 healthy, working age men/Month, while we are losing zero.

You are delusional, no amount of money or support from US is going to get Ukraine a win. They elected an idiot, which will become apparent in upcoming months. Why are people so dumb; Russia is a huge country with resources. US could not win in Afghanistan; real us army, what makes you think Ukraine will win against Russia. They need to go to the peace table and stop being puffed by uncle tom and getting people killed for no reason.

I had the one I posted in my personal mail file. When they stopped publishing them I went back and found the last one and then put it in my files so I would have it. I wish I had kept all of them. but, they are all there on Rybar though you will spend hours scrolling through to get them...:-)
