Julia Ioffe, founding partner and Washington correspondent for Puck News, found herself in hot water on Wednesday night when she tweeted that 2nd Amendment advocates would suddenly be for banning AR-15 rifles if they were tools used in abortions.
“What if you could perform an abortion with an AR-15? What if the 19 kids killed [in] Uvalde weren’t children, but fetuses?” Ioffe said in her now-deleted tweet.
Twitter users immediately pounced on Ioffe for not only using the horrible tragedy in Texas as a vehicle to plug abortion but also for suggesting that 19 children would suddenly have no inherent value to her if they were killed in the womb – a mad dash of irony that seemed to escape her.

You can perform an abortion with a coat hanger. But nobody has suggested banning coat hangers. That’s because coat hangers don’t commit abortion. People commit abortion.
Does Julia actually think that was a clever comment, some sort of unanswerable zinger that would stun and silence us?
If Planned Parenthood had 19 abortions in one day the board members would hold emergency meetings demanding to know why business was down over 90%.

Saw pics of a pro-abortion protest recently and many had coat hangers, most of them plastic. Too ignorant to know that it was wire coat hangers that were occasionally used by wack jobs and/or that about the only place to get them now is the dry cleaner.
Then the Left wouldn't be calling for them to be banned.

A fundamental problem with the Left is that they don’t know what we believe or why we believe it. They don’t care. They aren’t interested. They only know that we are wrong, and that they have won the argument before it begins. No need to listen.
I’m pretty sure that most Conservartives could parrot the Liberal argument for abortion or gun control, or taxing the rich or affirmative action or any of that stuff. We know their positions. And we know why we disagree. We can have that debate. They can’t.
We oppose violence against innocents. That’s our position on abortion, and it’s our position on school shootings too. It’s not hard. We don’t like to see people killed.
But we also believe in individual rights. Collectivists like Hitler, Stalin, Mao and the Demnocrats just can’t grasp that individual rights are important and group rights are a path to evil.
If you don’t understand individual rights, you don’t understand anything important.
Unlike abortions, Not every gun kills.
