WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Senate Republicans blocked a bill titled the Domestic Terrorism Prevention Act in Congress on Thursday that Democrats view as a response to a white supremacist's killing of 10 Black people this month and a potential gateway to a gun control bill.
Two days after another mass killing of 19 young children and two teachers at a Texas school, senators voted 47-47 along party lines, short of the 60 senators required to launch debate, to reject the bill authorizing federal agencies to monitor and report jointly on domestic terrorism within the United States, including incidents related to white supremacy.
Democrats insisted the bill was needed to bolster the federal government's response to rising incidents of violent extremism at home.
The outcome, which had been expected, cut off the chance for any immediate action on gun-control legislation to address a rising tide of mass shootings in the United States. Senators were due to leave Washington for a one-week Memorial Day holiday break.

White suprema-cysts-—glowbull warming-—CONvid-19-—effective, safe vaccines——violent acting guns. So much crap. Just think if they actually did something FOR the country.
Stop with the White Supremacy cr**. Most of us have worked and are working our a**es off. There is still a large faction that believes you can do whatevr you want in the name of freedom...like killing babies in the womb...men in the ladies room...marriages which are not marriages...
Absolutely no bias in the headline.
Bills like this actually need to battle against ALL supremacy, including this:
MathBoiFly (Waukesha terrorist), June 9, 2020:
“When we we start bakk knokkin white people TF ion wanna hear it. The old white ppl 2. Knokk Dem TF out. Period.”
Reuters just lying again. This was a bill for the government...ie Democrats which the bureaucracy overwhelmingly votes for to treat their enemies ie Republicans as domestic terrorists.
The Demonrats are getting scary and the GOP is no where.
They lie in the very first sentence. Jesus!
What was in the bill?
Pretty sure it was completely unconstitutional
I remember when they passed the “Nuke the whales to save the kittens” bill
“Remember these Republicans in November! Chip-in $20 to ActBlue now!!”
White supremacist = Western Culture

It is not about race, it is about culture.
Lying headline. The bill’s purpose is to create an unaccountable agency without a clear purpose, except to intimidate and harass the RAT’s domestic political opposition. It has nothing to so with white supremacy except to use it as a dog whistle.
RATs are setting up for concentration camps for anyone they don’t like. And the GOP remains clueless.
White supremacy is extremely unpopular in America...which is precisely why the Left claims its opponents are white suppremists. Back when it was actually populate enough to be a plight upon America the Left was supporting it. They always condemn the evils of the last that are out of vogue and support the new evils that are popular like hating Israel etc.
So, given that he is already being charged with the added 'hate crime' penalties, how does the 'D'onkey Party legislation improve on this? Only if you accept the claims of the black racists that all whites are implicit AND explicit 'white supremacist' racists!
“Two days after another mass killing of 19 young children and two teachers at a Texas school”
Not related to domestic terrorism or white supremacy.
Terrorism has a religious, racial, cultural or political element as its driving force.
Most involved in the shooting were ethnically Hispanic, so it wasn’t because of white supremacy.
This guy was not motivated by any of these, he was just a sicko.
The press can’t even report a story without dancing on the graves of the recently departed. Sick political theater.
fake, lying headline.
Per usual from the press.
Way beyond mere “bias” in that one.
That comment right there is a marker that you might be a white supremacist.
