A mass shooting is being reported out of Buffalo at the Tops [supermarket] at 1275 Jefferson Ave, Buffalo, NY. According to unverified reports, a shooter was taken out by gunfire. However, police say they have one person in custody. There are reports that “bodies [are] everywhere.” At least nine individuals have been reported shot, more than five of them in the head. At least one fatality has been reported.

It baffles me why so many are hell bent on proving them absolutely correct when they say conservatives are racist. Even if you are, sometimes prudence is a wiser option to avoid the guilt by association that harms the whole conservative movement. The risk is real, they will cancel this site through legal harassment and no one will have it...
But this concept requires a couple brain cells to understand...
I am upset about the whole Jan 6th thing because of the double standard that it represents and the hyperbolic nature of how it was all treated in the media who used terms that people were NEVER charged with.
I also disagree vehemently with the detention of the folks from Jan 6th - almost all of them had NO criminal history.
However, my point stands. If they receive a “tip” about a person who is unhinged or says threatening things but no crime was committed there is little that they can legally do. I would guess it is a huge number of people who are “reported” but only a small handful of them go on to commit violence towards others. The outcry if they “locked them all up” would be legion. The resources required to monitor them all would be massive - police state level far beyond what we see now.
That was my point. I have plenty of criticism of them, but as long as they are sharing “tips” with local law enforcement and mental health absent an actual crime what else can they do? I know several people who might be described as a bit unhinged but they seem to function in society in their own way but how do you know which one will snap?

While law enforcement was able to get a mental health intervention that time, possibly averting a graduation bloodbath, this time around either his like-minded new pals on 4chan and Discord did not alert LE or LE could not or did not act.
Or maybe he did not post his plans until it was too late for anyone to act? I’m not clear about the timeline, when exactly he posted his plans.
