I've spent most of my life around guns. As an NRA-certified pistol instructor and Army Veteran, I've owned and used firearms for over 20 years. And as a Black father who has lost a son, I grieve with the countless families who have felt the toll that gun violence takes on our bodies and communities. I understand, more than most, how grave a threat guns are when they fall into the wrong hands.

—”Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, gun violence has skyrocketed. In almost every major American city, gun violence is on the rise and communities of color are bearing the brunt of it. According to the Pew Research Center, there were 45,222 total gun deaths in 2020—by far the most on record—representing a 14 percent increase from the year before and a 43 percent increase from a decade prior. And this week, new data from the CDC showed that Black men were disproportionately impacted by this surge in gun violence.”

It’s not gun violence. It’s violent people using guns.

Well…
If Dettleback got his way, he’d make criminals safer.
This puddin-head thinks the Black deaths would stop.
You almost wanna cry for someone born that stupid.
Aren’t gun control laws the strictest in Chicago?
Aren’t gang killings illegal now?

They still can’t separate “gun violence” from “criminal violence”, to save their miserable lives. Ted Kennedy’s Oldsmobile killed more people than all my firearms, combined.

I figured he was a Democrat activist.....and that he’s probably YEARS away from his Army career....... Oh, and the NRA-certified thing? That’s nothing, frankly. He and his ilk and part of the mindset of Waynes little organization are why I no longer belong to the NRA..

Well, assuming that you're a law abiding citizen (an assumption I'm perfectly willing to make) you surely *need* a firearm because it's firmly established that blacks are the victims of violent crime *far* more often than whites...when adjusting for population percentages.
One would think that given this undeniable fact *you* would be more opposed to the contemptuous laws that Rat Party Headquarters tries to enact in order infringe upon basic Constitutional rights.

If the wrong hands were clutching prison bars they wouldn’t be able to get ahold of guns.

”Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, gun violence has skyrocketed." Do we even need to say it? Correlation does not equal causation.
To: rellimpank
a threat guns are when they fall into the wrong hands. Yes, it's a behavior problem, and it's way too common among people with skin color like yours.
