On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” White House Council of Economic Advisers member Jared Bernstein said that inflation will not hit the Federal Reserve’s target of 2% in 2022.
Bernstein stated, [relevant remarks begin around 6:20] “I will say that the expectation of every forecast I’ve seen is that inflation is growing more slowly at the end of this year than it is now.”

Where do they find these idiots
**************
They are not idiots. They are cunning, manipulative liars.
Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain.
I’m having a heart attack right now over this news because I’m so surprised. I’m shocked and stunned. Heart attack and stroke surprised that inflation won’t be at 2% at the end of the year.
This came out of left field, I tell ya! Left field!
This guy must have a Econ degree like the one AOC “earned.”
A nominee for this year’s Nobel Price in Economics.
Just like Paul Moron Krugman.
Same place they found AOC
Of course not....its already breezed past 2%
I don’t know I kind of figured 12% sounds reasonable. .....Wait, what, he said 2%? Since it is over 4x that much now, he may be right.
Seriously, 12% to 22% sounds more likely.
Ya think?
More at Captain Oblivious.
So 12% inflation becomes 11%? That's very comforting.
Why isn’t the target 0%?
FWIW, my fuel bill last year was $62K. This year it’s on pace to be $110K. Same number of miles driven. Hourly shop rates for mechanical repairs has risen 20%. Tires are up 20%.
Food is up 30% - because every step of the supply chain is passing on our rising costs of getting crops grown and to markets.
The Fed ignores the reality quite well.
And I have a bridge to sell you!!!!
Well, 12% has the digit 2, and 22% has two digit 2s. That works, right?
Inflation is hidden tax. 2% is just below tolerance level
Taxing theory is best summed by the following quote:
. . the maxim attributed to Colbert, that the perfection of taxation consists in so plucking the goose—i.e., the people—as to procure the greatest amount of feathers with the least possible amount of squawking.

Priceless.
The dem talking head is saying “we are seeing some of those constraints come down ...” while the background chart depicts bacon inflation at 18.2% and steak inflation at 15%.
This would make an effective commercial. Play audio of dems spouting their nonsense while displaying charts with facts and figures that prove they are lying.
