Polls are closing in Ohio as Democrats and Republicans anxiously await the results of key primaries in a state that will likely prove pivotal in November’s midterms.
For Republicans, the Tuesday primaries in Ohio are dominated by the Senate nominating contest. Former President Trump, who remains the most popular figure within the modern GOP, has endorsed author and venture capitalist J.D. Vance in the race, though Vance faces a crowded field of rivals, almost all of whom have campaigned as Trump acolytes.

Who did you mean to post that to?
It most certainly was not yourself.

My opposition to Vance is based on his 2016 position that control of the Surprise Court wasn't sufficiently important for him to vote for the Republican nominee for President. Nothing to do with whether he liked Trump personally - everything to do with electing a Senator who doesn't understand the importance of SCOTUS.
Him explaining his 2016 decision by saying he's come around on Trump completely misses the point.

All 22 primaries were won by Trump endorsed candidates.
This means the end of the Kevin McCarthy/Mitch McConnell era. After November BOTH should be gone.

I had a look at total votes cast for Senate / Gov. In Ohio. Twice as many Republicans showed up to vote. Stick a fork in the Rats outside of the ghettos and mush brained college towns.

Well, if Vance can be trusted (Trump chose to) he’ll be a great Senator, we’ll see. At worst he’s Ben Sasse which is still better than Portman. Thank God Dolan didn’t win.
Mandel blew his best chance by quitting in 2018, he probably shouldn’t run again.

Time will tell. I still don't trust the guy one bit, but I'd hold my nose and vote for him over the RAT in the general.

Mandel blew his chance with me when it was revealed he was having an affair with a staffer and using campaign funds to pay for it.
