Polls are closing in Ohio as Democrats and Republicans anxiously await the results of key primaries in a state that will likely prove pivotal in November’s midterms.
For Republicans, the Tuesday primaries in Ohio are dominated by the Senate nominating contest. Former President Trump, who remains the most popular figure within the modern GOP, has endorsed author and venture capitalist J.D. Vance in the race, though Vance faces a crowded field of rivals, almost all of whom have campaigned as Trump acolytes.

My polling place in Ohio was quite busy. But then again, there were about 15 precincts represented. I didn’t have to wait, as they had about 20 booths. But it was a steady stream.
A disturbing number of people voting had masks on. A higher proportion of voters versus poll workers wore masks. This bodes well, I would think, for DeWine winning this area.
I waited in the car after driving someone to vote there a couple hours after I voted. It was interesting to note that many of the mask wearers walked to or away from a Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, etc.

The headline means that the polling places have closed, not that the candidates are tied according to polling organizations.
I’m surprised they didn’t catch this ambiguity.
Dems are crossing over to vote for Dolan.

did DJT endorse anyone in the gov race?
I was hoping that at the very least The Whiner would get less than 50%.
They put up Renacito cut off Blythstone
Renací
Yeah, this is bad. appears to be an open primary. I got a piece of mail that said on the back of the unopened envelope - if you are a registered Democrat, Independent or Republican, you can vote in the Republican primary. Drain the Swamp. If anybody can vote in your primary, what’s the point of a primary?
Some sites have called it for DeWine.
IMHO he pulled it out by signing heartbeat abortion and constitutional carry bills in the last year.
Beats me

Exactly. There’s no reason yo vote for Renacci. Might as well stick with DeWine. They’re the same guy. Blystone was the chance for something different. And it would have been a good year for that because the dem field is weak. DeWine will make it to the general and I won’t be voting for him. Hope he beats the dem though, lol.
I am in Ohio and voted for Renacci in the primary. I knew DeWine would win because Ohioans seem to like “well enough.” Rare to see a surprise here.
