One of the most visible signs of our federal government’s corruption is the treatment being meted out to the January 6 prisoners, who have been deprived of their express and inherent rights under the Constitution, one of which is the right to an impartial judge. Dustin Thompson, however, was not accorded that right, as Judge Reggie Walton explicitly showed his political bias and hostility to Thompson. Walton should have recused himself before the trial. With the trial over, at the very least, the judgment should be reversed. Ideally, Walton would be removed from the bench and disbarred.
The Bill of Rights describes rights inherent in the individual; they are not “gifts” from the government. All Americans enjoy them automatically and the government may override these rights only by showing an overwhelming need to do so.
When it comes to the January 6 martyrs, however, the federal government under Biden and Attorney General Merrick Garland has deprived these martyrs of multiple rights.

All of this is aimed at Trump, using these people as poor tools to do so.
How many of these “judges” have cast verdicts from the bench declaring Trump’s “guilt” when Trump was not even before them regarding the case at hand?

Kamala Harris and the Dem hit squads have spent the last 30 years attacking the United States as racist, oppressive, homophobic, xenophobic, etc.......decrying it’s formation by “evil religious white men to oppress anyone who was unwhite.”
But on Jan 6, she, and the Party of Never Miss a Political Opportunity, suddenly “saw the light.”
The knee-jerkers crassly played the “give a damn card.”

Too bad they don’t govern as if they believed all that.
Thompson’s defense attorney was also a travesty, calling his own client a “rioter” and “insurrectionist,” failing to introduce any pro-defense witnesses, asking Thompson “How does it feel to commit a crime?”, and showing excessive social warmth to the prosecutors, whom he treated as his buddies.
Jan 6 has proven one thing for sure..... America’s justice system is CORRUPT!!
Has any defense attorney brought a habeas corpus petition based on the Federal Constitutional right to a speedy trial?
Here is a good guess: if the petition does not succeed at the local or intermediate level (because of political bias), the issue will be reviewed by SCOTUS. IMO the prosecution cannot sustain its burden under the applicable analysis.
The petition may not result in immediate freedom for these persecuted defendants, but it would eventually result in any convictions being overturned with charges dismissed.
I am guessing Widburg understands this, and Dershowitz certainly does.
And it happens to be the essential and fundamental issue in the ongoing government oppression.
Samuel Adams knew whatto do with British Imperialistic Authoritarian judges. He threatened to hang ‘em but gave them 24 hours to vacate their respective counties , back in the day.

Agreed, and these petitions for Writ Habeas Corpus, with Certiorari in aid, should be filed immediately.
These are just jumped up kkangaroo persecution politcal trials, like one would see in communist countries.
There is no facet of the Federal (or in some cases State and Local governments) that are not corrupt, compromised and defiled.
When the Conservatives retake the Presidency, I pray that they appoint an honest Attorney General, who will take a lawnmower to the corruption that has weeded up our government and judicial system.
Judge Walton is a lackey of Pelosi.
At the very least, 80% of the people “in authority” need to be shown the door. At all levels. The Deep State is Deep.
We haven’t had really serious Civil Service reform in a long time. We need to totally rethink what it means to be a federal employee and who gets to be one.
Seems to me that it is clear evidence of the innate bias of this judge and should be grounds for appeal.

Maybe some of these lawyers writing about this travesty should spend their time providing counsel to these people. If they will not do that they are part of the problem.

Chalk up another victory for out of control government and its related rampant abuse of power. A lawsuit brought by the conservative group “True the Vote” asking to have a forensic expert of the court’s choosing attempt to recover the “lost” Lois Lerner emails has been denied. U.S. District Court Judge Reggie Walton said in his decision that the plaintiff failed to show “irreparable harm” as a result of the “lost” emails, which, since the contents of them is unknown to those who were not involved in the criminal activities, would likely be an impossible thing to prove.
The IRS under the rule of Lois Lerner targeted mostly conservative people and groups, and then the IRS claimed they lost her e-mails. She had been using her personal e-mails so as not to have government backups or traceability.
One day after the House of Oversight and Government Reform Committee sent former IRS Tax Exempt Organizations Director Lois Lerner a letter requiring her appearance before the Committee on March 5, 2014, her attorneys say she won’t testify without being granted immunity.
The Committee was calling her back after determining that Lerner had waived her Fifth Amendment right against self-incrimination when she declared her innocence.
In May of 2014, The House voted to hold former IRS official Lois Lerner in contempt of Congress for refusing to testify about the agency’s improper scrutiny of Tea Party groups.
On some of the IRS’s official e-mail retrieved, Lois Lerner had referred to conservatives as “assholes” and “terrorists”.
IRS emails released by the House Oversight Committee show staff working for Democratic Ranking Member Elijah Cummings communicated with the IRS multiple times between 2012 and 2013 about voter fraud prevention group True the Vote.
Lerner purposely targeted Tea Parties across the country as well as other conservative groups. The IRS Scandal involves: •At least 292 conservative groups targeted •At least 5 pro-Israel groups targeted •Constitutional groups targeted •Groups that criticized Obama administration were targeted •At least two pro-life groups targeted •A Texas voting-rights group was targeted •Conservative activists and businesses were targeted •At least 88 IRS agents were involved in the targeting scandal •At least one conservative Hispanic group was targeted
Video shows Lois Lerner discussing the political pressure that swirled around the IRS in 2010. Lerner says “everyone” was “screaming at” the IRS to stop the flood of money pouring into the 2010 elections through 501(c)(4) groups as a result of Citizens United. Lerner spoke to a small group at Duke´s Sanford School of Public Policy on October 19, 2010, just two weeks before the wave election that brought the Tea Party and Republicans significant gains in Congress.
Judges are impeached.
And judges say outrageous stuff every day.
