One of the most important products for new parents is in short supply. Baby formula, which three-quarters of babies in the U.S. receive within their first six months, is increasingly out of stock at retailers across the country.
The supply of formula is so constrained that retailers like Walgreens are even limiting how much consumers can purchase at one time. A spokesperson for the drugstore chain told CBS MoneyWatch it is limiting customers to three infant and toddler formula products per transaction, citing "increased demand and various supplier issues."
Supply-chain snarls related to COVID-19 are contributing to the shortage of formula around the U.S. They include manufacturers having more difficulty procuring key ingredients, packaging hangups and labor shortages, with those factors combining to affect production and distribution. In addition, a major baby formula recall in January exacerbated shortages.

“Parents struggle to find baby formula amid widespread shortages and rationing”
Probably short critical ingredients, due to ‘Sticking it to Putin”
This has to be Putins fault????!!!!!
Maybe Hunter snorted it all by accident.
Anyone else remember the old standby of evaporated milk, Karo, and water for baby formula. I’m going to assume there is reason why these moms have chosen not to breast-feed. But it seems a rather obvious solution to a formula shortage.
Women’s boobs are supposed to function as feeding station for her kids, but women today....
That is why there were wet nurses prior to formula.
That was me when I breast fed. Lol
I did not use that other crap
Cheaper cleaner, eat what you eat, have to be careful
Udder nonsense.
Sorry everyone.
Silicone doesn’t provide many vitamins.
Must be transgenders because I thought “Women” came equipped with the means to feed their babies
We shop at a little market in the boondocks of Eastern Montana each Tuesday. This past Tuesday, there was lots of baby food and formula. I don’t buy the shortage crap.
I walked into a courthouse in FL years ago and saw a woman breastfeeding. Blew me away for a second because it was the first time I’d ever seen it but then I just thought, cool. No plastic bottles, formula etc. Still to this day, I don’t think they know exactly everything that is in breast milk. My wife quit doing it within days because our first born, son, was too rough. I told her to flick him in the head with her finger when that happened but she couldn’t bring herself to do that.
Most women breastfeed today….all of my grandchildren were.
.
You would have to supplement that with vitamins or your baby would die of malnutrition.
