Ted Cruz: More Republicans Were Considering Voting for KBJ Confirmation than Did

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) claimed that more Senate Republicans would have voted to confirm Ketanji Brown Jackson’s nomination to the Supreme Court than did if her sentencing history had not been brought to light.

Cruz, speaking on the most recent episode of his Verdict podcast, said that besides the three Republican senators — Sens. Susan Collins (R-ME), Lisa Murkowski (R-AK), and Mitt Romney (R-UT) — who voted for Jackson, more would have voted for her if her sentencing history was not exposed.

Repubs are all about surrendering, look what Trump did in the face of Fauci even with DARPA at his fingertips. No loopholes played, no using Federal law which bans affirmative action although Biden specifically and vividly decided that affirmative action guided his choice for a SC nominee, yet dems go gutter mode at any Repub choice.

We never heard what happened with the count. We hadn’t heard from all the other states? Was the election actually certfied? It looked like a big charade to me.

Sure we did. Congress reconvened later that night and finished the certification. There was one additional challenge - Pennsylvania if I recall correctly - but the rest were accepted and the count was certified.

I already won with Christ and He helps me see very clearly of the evil that men do regardless if they are democrats or republicans. Stay blind in this fallen world I guess. You can only “check” one Party, which again is idiotic.

Me too, however, not voting for R if their policies mimic democrats/democrat "light". No "centrists"/"moderates"/Stattists. Liberty or bust, unfortunately the Repub Establishment is a huge bust. We need radical changes, not pragmatic "insider" Administrative Law drones (Which was Trump's downfall) death by a thousand policies of treating, not curing the symptoms; that solves/helps/cures nothing.

Not really, that just shines the light on her Judicial decision making (Which Cruz was not in the same power position of sentencing convicted felons) process of not sentencing the Josh Duggars of the world as harshly as say some kid shoplifting a piece of candy if you want to go down the Strawman road of logical fallacies.
