Former President Trump has pulled his endorsement of Rep. Mo Brooks in this year's Alabama Senate primary, slamming the Republican as "woke" and disloyal to him for doubting his claims about the 2020 presidential election.
"When I endorsed Mo Brooks, he took a 44-point lead and was unstoppable. He then hired a new campaign staff who 'brilliantly' convinced him to 'stop talking about the 2020 Election,'" Trump said in a statement issued on Wednesday morning.
"Very sad but, since he decided to go in another direction, so have I, and I am hereby withdrawing my Endorsement of Mo Brooks for the Senate. I don’t think the great people of Alabama will disagree with me. Election Fraud must be captured and stopped, or we won’t have a Country anymore.

We also can’t just let the Dems sweep it under the rug.
Dugway, don't take this personally, but I trust Trump's instincts over yours.
I know this will be short on detail but Trump had a rally maybe 6 or more months ago and I saw Mo on stage and he said “we can’t look back on 2020 we’ve got to look forward”. The crowd booed very loud and I thought, what has Mo just done but I see plenty of Freepers wanting to move on from the stolen election also.
Trump to Brooks: how dare you stop talking about me?
Did Brooks really just say it was legally impossible for Trump to be reinstated ? You can believe the election was wrongly decided without endorsing a decertification movement. That alone may have been misunderstood but certainly doesn’t make one ‘woke.’
Neocons and RINOs need not apply
It isn’t going to be ignored. Or repeated. There were a confluence of factors that perpetrated the fraud of this magnitude that were very specific to 2020.
He does not need to "rehash" anything. Acknowledging that election fraud caused an illegitimate election is a simple enough thing to do and it is something our side should do without hesitation.
Refusing to acknowledge the obvious makes me think the man will be a creature of Washington DC, and not a representative of the people of the State of Alabama.
As well it should be because it has little to do with events in Alabama, but you have to be a moron to piss off the people for whom it is a serious issue.
There is no upside to this position of the Brooks campaign staff. It is stupid to even bring this up in a Senate election.
Do I smell a "never Trumper"?
Is there some particular reason why you feel the need to mock Trump on this issue?

No, he does not need to ‘rehash’ anything and that is the point. According to the article, the election of 2020 is all Trump wants him to talk about. Brooks wants to talk about the senate election of 2022 and what Brooks will do if elected. Rehashing 2020 to sooth Trump’s ego isn’t all that productive.
Clean your own house in MN. We’ll handle matters in AL.

Thanks Bagdadaway Bob!
Rejected, just like your false vaxx claims.
Apparently Mo was seen as vulnerable and he defected from Trump’s side. This is partly a shot of grape to “encourage the others.”
Unclench your a$$ cheeks. Minnesota is beyond saving at this point this side of the next Civil War.
Who brought it up — the Brooks campaign or Trump? It sounds like Trump is complaining because the Brooks campaign has STOPPED bringing it up.

Do you live in Alabama? I do and Mo Brooks has been my representative since we got rid of Parker Griffith. He’s the best man running. Far better than Durant (a man Mitt Romney would be proud of).
I hope Mo Brooks wins.

BTW, do you live in Alabama?
It's "the Hill."
Something i've noticed about articles people post from "the Hill", is that they are always left wing and always working to help the left. I give very little credibility to anything a left wing shill source claims that is detrimental to our side.
I find it highly unlikely that Trump wants Mo Brooks to only talk about the 2020 election. That would seem false on the face of it.
