Mark Levin: ‘For All the Attacks on Donald Trump, the Man Was a Foreign Policy Genius’
Breitbart ^ | 14 Mar 2022 | JEFF POOR

Posted on 03/14/2022 5:24:48 AM PDT by conservative98

On Sunday’s broadcast of FNC’s “Life, Liberty & Levin,” conservative talker Mark Levin blasted the Biden administration for its response to a situation in Ukraine that is spiraling out of control by the day while seemingly enabling Iran to achieve its nuclear ambitions.

Levin said the status quo made him miss the days of former Presidents Ronald Reagan and Donald Trump.

Trump, according to Levin, looked to be a foreign policy genius based on the present situation.

Transcript as follows:

[cut]

You know what, ladies and gentlemen, I really do miss the Reagan days and the Trump days. We never thought this way. We never talked this way.

The reason Putin didn’t invade Ukraine when Donald Trump was President is because he respected and feared Donald Trump. That’s why deterrence.

Trump increased the military spending. He talked NATO into increasing their spending, even though he was attacked as a Russian operative who was undermining NATO. No, he was fed up with NATO because they wouldn’t spend the money they needed to defend themselves.

Iran? Iran didn’t — in a pot — if you get my drift, because they feared Trump because Trump was destroying Iran. He choked Iran. Missile man, little rocket man over there in North Korea, he was behaving himself, too. We can go on and on and on.

For all the attacks on Donald Trump, the man was a foreign policy genius, was he not? Sorry, John Bolton, you really blew it.

The invasion of Ukraine would never have happened in President Trump’s second term.

Trump is a businessman.

He well understands that "It's the economy, stupid" applies to both domestic and international dealings.

The Democrats are all idealogues and grifters. Neither category of their dysfunctions lend themselves to diplomatic skill.

Agreed. But the problem is ...and I fall into this category myself ....women.

Women cannot seem to pull their heads out of their butts to look beyond identity and gender politics. They can’t understand the “peace through strength” philosophy. And so here we are. We’ve enjoyed 50 plus years of peace and prosperity, until this time. In talking to a neighbor ...who did vote for Trump — in all other matters, abortion is her litmus test.

It will be the downfall of us all, and our world, but perhaps rightly so.

Lavin, you were right in the thick of the Trump hate before the election and well into his first term.

Some of us here in flyover country knew Trump could be “the one” after the escalator ride and sealed our perceptions after Iowa.

I would not say he is a broken clock, when something does not appear quite right Mark usually knows what is amiss

Not true. Levin was a Cruz guy in the primaries, but got over it real quick, long before Trump took office. And he’s been one of his staunchest defenders ever since.

I’m glad Mark said this. I was concerned after he started saying others support Putin for questioning the Establishment’s role.

I stand corrected on timing, but Levin got so much wrong leading up to it. See below.

Radio Host Mark Levin Endorses Donald Trump After Vowing He Would Never Do So

https://www.huffpost.com/entry/mark-levin-trump_n_57d01dbbe4b06a74c9f1b4b1

Conservative radio host Mark Levin reversed himself on Tuesday, announcing he would vote for Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump come November.

“I’m gonna vote for Donald Trump. I’m gonna wind up voting for Donald Trump on Election Day,” Levin said on his radio show. “I take no responsibility for the dumb things he says or the dumb things his surrogates say.

Levin, who backed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) during the GOP primary, was part of the so-called Never Trump movement, a loose coalition of Republicans and conservative intellectuals that banded together to oppose the real estate mogul’s candidacy.

The syndicated radio host is the second prominent member of that group to reverse his position. Fellow radio host Hugh Hewitt did so earlier this summer.

Levin stated in April that he was “not voting for Donald Trump. Period.” The host was particularly put off by Trump’s attacks against Cruz and his father, Rafael Cruz.

“These bully, dirty tricks, Nixonian tactics, they’re only going to backfire. They’re only going to backfire. So, count me as never Trump. There’s been too much of this folks, way too much of this,” Levin said. “I mean, I can go right through the list, too much, too much, too much. At some point, you’ve got to stand up to it.”

He blasted Trump in July for not being sufficiently conservative and for changing his positions.

“He’s changed on the minimum wage. He’s changed on taxes. He’s even changed whether Muslims should be let into the country and how we should secure the border,” Levin said. “He is changing—he’s changing right in front of our eyes.”

Sorry NeverTrumper Levin, you are wrong again.

Our GOAT PDJT was an America First President.

That’s all it was, we just haven’t seen it in so long that many think it’s some new miracle.

If you lead, others will follow, an our guy was the Leader of the Free World.

To paraphrase that old line:
America isn’t good because it’s great,
America is great because it’s good.

Fresh new film on the news showing Putin’s work in Ukraine. This would not happen if Trump was in charge
Trump kept that sawed off paranoid psycho under control.

“he’s been one of his staunchest defenders”

Once they put their finger to the wind the talkers usually can figure out which side their bread is buttered on.

Not exactly true. Mark was still criticizing Trump needlessly into the beginning of the first term over stuff like “Free Trade” and Trump being responsible for the increase in the price of cars, “Trump is not a conservative. Trump is not a conservative. I’m sorry folks, he just isn’t” he would say every show. Then towards the end of the first year he realized he was being too hard, he stopped the Trump isn’t a conservative line around the time Trump recognized Jerusalem as capital of Israel. Levin flipped and there wasn’t much of a criticism since. The Trump dead wrong on free trade became Trump was dead right, I always said you have to be hard on China. The Trump is not a conservative became Trump is the most conservative President since Reagan, Trump is willing to do more conservative things than previous Presidents, the guy is amazing. He did his shows and wrote books defending Trump.

Trump would not have offered NATO to Ukraine ergo Russia would have no reason to invade Ukraine.
