Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) told Californians that he was working on a potential rebate to offset the escalating costs of gas as prices broke historic records across the country Tuesday.

“No one's naive about the moment we're living with high gas prices and the geopolitical uncertainty that's fueling them,” Newsom said during his State of the State address. “I'll be submitting a proposal to put money back in the pockets of Californians to address rising gas prices.”

Not demented at all.

That is what socialists and communists do. By that means they end up owning the voters. Once the voter takes the bait, he is forever hooked....the slave of the government.

The problem is that you can’t prevent it.

No doubt funded by a gas tax.

Money going into the Left pocket, after it came out of the Right pocket.

It’s nice to see that the rich are willing to throw some crumbs back to the poor before they revolt. Very charitable of them.

Maybe offer the rebate for vaccinated people only?

I don’t have a clue what it is that’s responsible for Schizofornia.

For over 35 years, I breathed the same, worse then, polluted air; all I got was asthma. I drank the same fluoridated water (still got cavities) and didn’t get my precious bodily fluids polluted.

I the the same foods, and all I got was IBS & gall bladder disease.

Went to the same schools, but didn’t get my brain turned to mush.

WTF infected such an overwhelming number with terminal idiocy, but left me unaffected?

Calif has lots of oil, but newscum will not approve any new leases, just to cap well, and santa Barbara County just said no to any off shore production. Dipshits run this state

I do believe that if you think about it another way, the rebate is completely justifiable.

Why? California has between a $20.6 and $45.7 budget surplus
right now. I’ve been saying for several months, they should
return that to the taxpayers.

https://calmatters.org/politics/2022/01/california-newsom-budget-surplus-game/

We have very high taxation in the state, and it’s ridiculous
to see them hang on to this surplus and even propose to
double taxation in the state, and they actually did.

It may have been shot down by now, but they did loft it.

Give the money back to the people. NOW!

Let them figure out what to spend it on.

Do you have a television set? Lack of the sewage pipeline to the brain helps.

They won't do that. They will means-test any "rebate" so that most of the people who actually pay CA income tax won't be eligible.

.
How much do you think CA will charge for disposal of the toxic batteries?

28 or 30k?

More people charging their vehicles will absolutely necessitate rolling blackouts.

You are creating a single point of failure for all Energy.

.

Let’s see. Take my money from me in the form of taxes and then give it back to me, less ummm carrying charges, and then tell me what a great favor you’re doing me.

I don’t have a problem with that. Doubt they will do it
even if they could pay it off.
