Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov say Russia will halt military action if Kiev meets four conditions.
In an interview on Monday, Peskov said Moscow could “end war immediately” if Ukraine agreed to sign a neutrality agreement that would bar it from entering NATO, recognized Crimea as Russian, recognized the regions of Luhansk and Donetsk as independent, and ceased all military action.
Russia claims it will stop the war immediately if Ukraine agrees to: - cease military action - change constitution to enshrine neutrality - recognize Crimea as Russian territory - recognize the Russian-controlled areas of Donetsk and Luhansk as independent states

In other words, Putin will end the war if he is given everything he actually wanted in the first place. That’s a good deal, but only from Putin’s point of view. But what other choice does Ukraine have?
Nuts.
Puppet state of Ukraine should have agreed with this before getting invaded.
kill them until they leave, obviously.
Given the corruptocrats running the world, not much choice...
He’ll probably get them anyway, and turn east for Russia’s economic future. The Byzantine eagle faces both ways...
1) No, but will agree that neither NATO nor any of its member states will house any nuclear weapons or (defined) launch capability in Ukraine;
2) Agree to hold plebiscite in defined region of disputed territories, and to abide by results. Who is eligible to vote would have to be defined up front.
In the mean time many many Ukrainians die as well. Putin will use nukes to get his way. How many do you want to die?
Why would continued destruction of Ukraine and loss of life be worth holding off for a better deal? This decision is for the Russians and Ukrainians to hash out. I don’t give a rip but Biden leading WW3 is not something I want to live through. Not do I particularly want more countries joining NATO.
I think the Ukraine response should be agree to not join *any* bloc, to include NATO and EU, but also BRICS, Eurasian Union, and/or any future Russia-based blocs. No nukes or foreign military on Ukraine territory, and a new open elections in Crimea, Lukhansk, Donbass, as noted above.
Oh, that's funny.! :)
Barring Ukraine’s entry into NATO might be worth agreeing to because NATO doesn’t want to admit Ukraine for other reasons. Anyway, the agreement could be violated as time goes on.
I don’t know about the other three conditions.
But it’s probably worth letting the conflict continue because who knows — Russia might cave first.
Russia will need a face-saving way to cave.
Seems like Ukraine/NATO/EU would be wanting concessions or guarantee from Russia as part of the deal.
A lot of thinking and strategizing is going on that we know nothing about.
It gives the Russian forces time to resupply and refuel.
I agree. Nobody else can force either nation to accept anything at this point. I was just suggesting what I personally thought would be a reasonable counter. That's the kind of opinion people.offer.on message boards all the time, right?
Not do I particularly want more countries joining NATO.
I think NATO membership makes it less likely that there will be a war involving member states, so I'm not opposed to expanding it under the right circumstances.
Wow the quantity of cheese eating surrender monkeys on this thread. So Ukraine should acquiesce to unreasonable demands just cause the bully says so? How about Putin stop being a bully, stop defining himself in opposition to the West, and get the hell out of a country that’s none of his business.
President Zoolander should take this in a heartbeat and end the bloodshed. Zelensky already has his Soros $$ out of the country. he needs to do this while he has a chance to keep some statehood likely in Lviv or west ukraine.
there are many who would rather fight to the last Ukrainian.
