On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Co.,” Labor Secretary Marty Walsh said that “we have to transition into clean energy” at some point and that we’re in the process of making the transition. Walsh also stated that making the transition “can be painful in some sectors and some fields,” and isn’t going to happen instantaneously.

There are very few upsides for conversion to so-called “green” energy, when the economics of the issue are not considered. The conversion from whale oil as a source of lamp fuel to kerosene was driven entirely because of economics, as kerosene could be extracted from petroleum much more cheaply than the whale oil could be extracted from the harvest at sea, and a great deal less time in the supply chain of the time.

That is the criteria that applies on the adoption of ANY technology - does it do the job more cheaply than the the present means of fulfilling the perceived need? Otherwise, regardless of subsidies or discriminatory pricing, the substitute that fails to meet this test is eventually discarded. The alternative is just too painful.

So wind power (only if the temps are okay and the wind doesn't blow too hard or not hard enough) and solar (only if not on cloudy, rainy days and large hail doesn't take them out). There was a story on wind power where it was calculated that the whole state of AZ would have to be covered in wind farms just to supply LA.

On another note: each wind turbine needs 3,000 watts of power to produce power; where would that power come from?

Green energy is a myth, particularly for vehicles.

You will own nothing and you will be happy”.

In addition. extremely high private transportation costs encourage more people to live in cities and use tax subsidized public transportation. Working people who pay taxes will subsidize people who do not feel like working even more.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox Business Network’s “Varney & Co.,” Labor Secretary Marty Walsh said that “we have to transition into clean energy” at some point and that we’re in the process of making the transition.

It looks like Marty Walsh is basing economically destructive and enslaving policy on the FALSE premise that climate change is caused by mankind.

Climate change is NOT caused by mankind; it is caused by the Sun, the Earth's tilt, and the varying distance of the Earth from the Sun.

It will be very, VERY, expensive and will take generations to accomplish, er, before it’s finally scrapped as the biggest, costliest government scam in history after tripling the national debt.

But, Biden and government co-conspirators (past, present and future) will get their customary cuts. Unions, contractors, universities and crony capitalists feeding off the taxpayers will also get their cuts.

Marty, you are a filthy creep who should be fired with no pension or other visible means of support. If there was justice, you would freeze or get sunburned in lines at soup kitchens every day for your subsistence.
You SUCK as a human being.

We’ll see what tune they’re singing late this summer when gas is 6 bucks a gallon and inflation is 12%.

Leftists *ALWAYS* bring pain; conservatives, IF you can get REAL ones like Trump (and not RINOs), bring prosperity and peace ... i wonder if the voters of this country will ever figure that out? ... given the apathy, ignorance and slothfulness of so many, i have my doubts ...

Well considering that there is NO infrastructure in place, or anything proposed at a level that would make any difference in the first place, the only reason that makes sense for the “transition” is to cause pain, nothing else.
