The mainstream media can be right now and again, so what’s the difference?

At least he didn’t fall for RussiaGate or the COVID hoax.

I’ll put the “InfoWars crowd” above your average mask-wearing, jab begging, mainstream media follower any day; same with the Establishment Republicans and the Kitzinger-Cheney crowd. Kitzinger has already fallen for several Ukraine propaganda hoaxes, and he’s on the Foreign Affairs committee.

At least Jones isn’t trying to goad us into nuclear war.

Maybe instead it’s revulsion at the other king of shirtless photos, Ukraine’s own stepson Hunter Biden.

Amazing that the dirty Biden family was being paid to lobby on behalf of the corrupt Ukrainian machine, and now all of a sudden a panicky MSM and left is trying to get us into war with a country that has 6,000 nuclear weapons in order to protect Ukraine.

Oh well. Crazy coincidence I guess! I’m off to change my profile picture to a Ukrainian flag and call everyone who doesn’t want war a Putinist.

Not our business. Our own interventionism in Eastern Europe is what got us here; neocons spending the better part of a decade insinuating military support for Ukraine and provoking Putin (like McCain, Grahamnesty, and Klobuchar going there right after Trump’s election and telling Ukrainian troops “Your fight is our fight!”).

So the Ukrainians got ripped off by trusting a bunch of corrupt neocons and leftists, and now their country is slouching towards rubble and ash. Theirs isn’t the first country screwed by interventionism, and it won’t be the last.

You made the WIKI reference, not I. So, own it.

I believe, on this subject, you are ignorant about a great many things. Allow me to direct you to a source of enlightenment - because, seeing your obvious bias, I believe you truly need to understand some basic facts of history - along with a serious reality check:

“Historian Yuval Noah Harari provides important context on the Russian invasion, including Ukraine’s long history of resistance, the specter of nuclear war and his view of why, even if Putin wins all the military battles, he’s already lost the war....”

I don’t want war - and neither do the Ukrainian or Russian people.

This war began for one reason, and only one reason: the psychotic “empire” fantasy of one man - Vladimir Putin.

One reason. Pfft.

I guess 25 years of NATO expansion had nothing to do with it. Or abandoning post Cold War commitments, manipulating Ukrainian elections and the Deep State buying off their politicians.

I assume Victoria Nuland and company literally picking winners in Ukraine’s “elections”, incessantly broadcasting Russia Hoax propaganda for 5 years had nothing to do with it.

Or US Senators going to Ukraine in 2017 and saying “Your fight is our fight!” and “Now we’re going on the OFFENSE against Russia! (This is all on video by the way).

The Deep State had been provoking this war for 15 years. And they got it.

Blaming 25 years of corrupt diplomacy, broken promises and treaties, endless saber rattling, and mainstream media lies on “one man” is the excuse of a childish mind; the end result of generations brought up on Star Wars and Marvel movies.

You and Grahamnesty are reading the same comic books:

“Your fight is our fight. 2017 will be the year of offense. All of us (Klobuchar, McCain, and Grahamnesty) will go back to Washington, and we will push the case against Russia. Enough of Russian aggression. It is time for them to pay a heavier price.” —Senator Lindsey Graham in Ukraine December 2016

This war happened because our diplomatic and political class is run by morons and saber rattling buffoons, who clearly have been provoking an invasion for decades, and turned the heat up after Trump won in order to spite him. Whereas Trump pushed engagement and deescalation with Russia, and wasn’t stupid enough to constantly provoke a country with 6,000 nuclear weapons.

Enough if it. I reject the war propaganda that says that NATO and the US’s poor leadership are blameless, along with the canard that Ukraine is standing for “democracy”. Please.

We chose their leaders; there are call recordings between Nuland and the US Ambassador in Kiev literally picking their leaders on the phone. Ukraine sought to buy US influence using the Vice President’s son. A Ukrainian operative in our own military helped jumpstart impeachment proceedings against Trump when Trump started calling Ukraine out on their corruption.

How can you people not see this, after 5 years of non-stop propaganda, where our own President was constantly called a Putin sellout. You’re ready to just parrot the Deep State line, point at Putin and say “Uh, he did it.”

Nope, we’re going to ignore all that, and put your Ukrainian flag in your Instagram profile, and pray for Ukraine, defenders of democracy. Let’s not learn anything.

US Senators Speak to Ukrainian Troops

I guess Victor Davis Hanson (who has probably forgotten more than you or I will ever know) is a “pfft” in your estimation as well.

Let’s see if you have even a modicum of objective reasoning on the issue. This requires patience to watch in its entirety (Approx. 1 hr 23 min.):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFRsMs4Ltxw

Regular contributor Victor Davis Hanson joins John to take stock of the many political, social and economic flashpoints currently occurring around the globe. He assesses the ongoing conflict between Ukraine and Russia, pans the management of the US economy that has seen inflation soar, and unpacks his most recent book, ‘The Dying Citizen’, arguing that identity politics, big government, open borders and internationalism, among other factors, are eroding American citizenship and security.

Victor Davis Hanson is an American classicist, military historian, columnist, and farmer. He has been a commentator on contemporary politics for the National Review and The Washington Times and is currently the Martin and Illie Anderson Senior Fellow at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution.

In addition to writing hundreds of articles, book reviews and newspaper editorials, Hanson is also the author of twenty-four books and hosts a regular podcast series, ‘The Victor Davis Hanson Show’. Hanson was awarded the National Humanities Medal in 2007 by President George W. Bush, and was a presidential appointee in 2007-08 on the American Battle Monuments Commission. His latest book, The Dying Citizen, was published in October 2021.

Jeez, just never mind.

They were also kissing Russian butt, shutting our pipelines down while opening the way for Russia’s, trying to block Israeli oil from competing with Russian oil in the European market, working with Putin’s allies in Ukraine, getting their smears of Trump from Putin-aligned Russian sources, buying Russian oil even though it essentially finances his invasion, making the Uranium One deal at Kazachstan’s expense, bullying Ukraine to get them to fire Ukrainian officials they don’t like, etc...

Is History that described the Ukrainian SS Units a Russian troll? Are Concentration Camp survivors who told of the cruel treatment inflicted by the Ukrainian SS Volunteers that guarded the Conceration Camps Russian trolls? Are the German war photographers who photographed and recorded Ukrainians beating Ukrainian Jews with the permission of the German SS Troops Russian trolls?

As I figured. No interest in learning something beyond your sandbox of neocon this and neocon that - none of which I dispute, BTW - but nonetheless irrelevant to the principle point that Vladimir Putin, a corrupt KGB thug with an authoritarian streak a mile wide, invaded a sovereign nation, based predominantly on his own exaggerated historically Russian fears that the world was out to conquer “mother Russia.”

Let’s not minimize his consistent writings and speeches about recreating “greater Russia” - as in its Tsarist pre-1914 borders.

Further, if you seriously believe Putin is going to stop with Ukraine - and not, at some future point, leverage that position to extort the Baltic States and all of Europe - then you have a most myopic understanding of history.

Are you going to paint all Ukrainians with that wide brush?

If that’s your take on the sins of Ukrainians, the shall we go into America’s dark past of slavery and other assorted wrongs?

By your measure, black Americans living today, not one of whom were ever slaves themselves, have every right to demand reparations from those of us whites who never owned slaves, and nor did our ancestors. And, as is often said, there must be “sauce for the goose:” Let’s look at the past sins of the Russians - both those of Tsarist Russia and the USSR - of which Putin is a rather nasty relic.
