EUGENE, Ore. — American flags that have been placed on overpasses along I-5 are now being removed.
The Oregon Department of Transportation says they need to be removed due to safety concerns.
Over the past six months the flags have popped up on multiple overpasses from Cottage Grove to Woodburn.
"The mission of the Oregon Department of Transportation is to create a safe multi-mode of transportation system for all of our system users,” explains ODOT’s Angela Beers-Seydel. “And that means we have to maintain a safe environment. We can't have things hanging over or off of a freeway overpasses. When you attach it to an overpass we need to remove it because it's a distraction for drivers."
Removing THOSE is a “hate” crime

Hang BLM flags and see if they’re removed.
Idiotic. The same could be said for anything within the drivers view while driving. I could understand if they said it was a hazard from falling down into traffic, but this reasoning is just an excuse to put a boot on patriotism.
Lets hope the people in Oregon come to fully aware of WHO is leading them.

This is actually a good idea, take video of putting it up as a test and video to see if it remains or is taken down. Same size flags. Don’t rant and rave, act angry or say nutty stuff, try to do it as if it were a Project Veritas test.
but if it was a blm flag ya’ll would be fine with it.

What she meant was: Once you leave your property on an overpass, we are free to remove it as having been abandoned. But if you stand there holding flags, we can’t interfere with your 1st amendment right to expression.
TBH, if they didn’t constantly remove signs off the overpasses they would quickly turn into trashy 3rd worldish billboards of tattered advertising banners.
Correct on every point.
Removing American flags is the wrong thing to do.
