Former CIA station chief Dan Hoffman joined "Fox & Friends" Monday to discuss Putin's latest move to put nuclear deterrent forces on alert after seeing a lack of momentum in overthrowing Ukraine. Hoffman said Putin made the risky decision because he is "running out of cards to play" and is looking to discourage NATO from sending weapons and aid to Ukraine.

Morale is low throughout the Russian army. Putin has lost the political support of the Russian people. Great harm has come to Russia as a result of this catastrophic, bad decision by Putin. The Russian political infrastructure, in ways the West simply does not understand has a history and way of removing autocrats who have failed. Any Freepers wish to speculate how long Putin remains in power?
Hoffman seems to be a pretty straight shooter who is not hyperbolic. If he has an agenda it has never been obvious to me and he is willing to go against the group-think that dominates his prior agency.
Does that mean he is right? Who knows? However, his opinions on Russia are always worth considering.

As of now, Truman is the only person to order the use of nukes, and that was a defensive move in a war that Japan started.
If Putin were to use nuclear weapons in an offensive war, it would certainly solidify his place in history.

I think he will see nuking Germany or other countries as a badge of honor saving the Russian people..and knowing if he doesn’t win, his country is gone, he has big plans for the reset. Nukes,no problem,, Xi and Biden are on His side..
Biden is currently cramming for the SOTU address coming up tomorrow. He's probably not aware of the current situation in Ukraine, and if he has been briefed on it he probably wasn't given any details out of fear it would mess up his SOTU practice.
