Ukraine claimed a major victory Sunday against invading Russian forces, saying its military had fought back and retaken full control of the nation’s second-largest city, Kharkiv, amid heavy warfare.
“Control over Kharkiv is completely ours!” regional Gov. Oleh Synyehubov crowed in a triumphant Facebook post.

Doesn’t sound like they intend to “roll over” Ukraine.....they have targets and thus far appear to be doing that. I doubt Russia wants to destroy their cities or they could have done so already. Even our Military leaders have said Putins not using his full potential in Ukraine.
Ukraine and the usual suspects on social media and Media across the world want to make Ukraine the hero’s......the propaganda machinery is huge that they’re using...and they’re blocking out anything else.
Don’t count on the Daily Mail or the alphabet news to give you truth.

It seems to me that if the Russians want Kiev, they will have to kill tens of thousands of civilians. Would NATO permit this. Using air power, Russian formations can be readily destroyed. Hard to believe Putin would use nukes to retaliate.

The Russians so far are having supply chaoin problems. Some armoured olumns have run out of fuel.And when they stop they are vulnerable.
The Ukrainians have been blowing up vridges, and when the Russians are stalled the Ukranians are attacking their flanks, blocking the columnes by exploding both ends and then picking the rest off bit by bit.
The Russians have lost 3400 dead according to the Ukrainian charge d’affairs in Ottawa. Thats more than Russia lost during their whole Afghanistan campaign, and in just 4 days.
No, if Russia wants Ukraine they will have to bring in the heavy artillery and go scorched earth.They will have to kill women and children as well as civilian fighters in mass genocide reminiscent of what the Nazis did to Ukraine in 1939. The Ukrainians are not going to give up.
The Russians can win this, But it would be a phyric victory. There would be next to nothing left.
So there is this fluff over Ukraine...Russia invades and seems to get slowed down...Europe sends stuff to Ukraine> Germany and Europe seems to start to “wake up”. Meanwhile Putin puts his nuke forces on max alert while raving to his supporters, not against Ukraine but the USA.(keeping in mind Biden and some Dems are on record as saying that the USA could absorb a few nuclear hits without necessarily responding back in kind).
Russia launches at us and hits us in a few key areas but Biden inexplicably will not launch back stating in sperches that we much take a few sacrifices so that the world is not engulfed in flames. The USA collapses...the world leaders have their reset and the whole Ukraine Russia thing goes away with Europe and Russia the preminent world powers...opening the way for total isolation of Israel.
I fear the Ukraine thing may be a feint by Russia and the EU to bloody our nose taking a gamble that the USA will not respond back in kind! We may be being played and those who we called friends are really not!

Whereas Russia is basically an ice-bound Saudi Arabia, despite an excellent resource base in terms of both mineral wealth and human talent. The pity is that it has been ruled by self-serving tyrants for the last century.
There is cellphone video of some of these Russian soldiers and they are being asked things like what did your officers tell you about what is going on?
The soldiers said they were told this was just part of a training exercise and then suddenly they discovered they were participating in some sort of attack
One guy was a reservist said he was called up just two weeks ago
This does comport at least with the report I’ve seen elsewhere that soldiers’ cellphones were confiscated two days before the order to invade
May be there is a strategy to try to intimidate Ukraine armed forces just by the sheer numbers of Russian troops thrown in their direction, even if some of these units are not being counted on to do much
