World stock markets plunged and oil prices surged by nearly $6 per barrel Thursday after President Vladimir Putin launched Russian military action in Ukraine.

Market benchmarks tumbled in Europe and Asia and U.S. futures were sharply lower. Brent crude oil jumped to over $100 per barrel on unease about possible disruption of Russian supplies. The price of U.S. benchmark crude briefly surpassed $98 per barrel.

The ruble sank 7.5% to more than $87 to the U.S. dollar.

The future for Germany’s benchmark DAX index lost 5.3% and London’s FTSE 100 was off 3.3% as Europe awakened to news of explosions in Kyiv, Kharkiv and other areas of Ukraine.

Putin said Russia’s military operation was needed to protect civilians in eastern Ukraine, a claim Washington had predicted he would make to justify an invasion.

Gas prices are too high now. Should we be filling the tank now before prices skyrocket?

Gas futures up 17 cents, up about 30 the past couple of days. Typically takes 3 days to show at the pump.

No Puffington Host, Biden caused the prices to soar with the inept policies and half ass diplomacy.

We all head the usurper practically invite Russia to invade, being so desperate to hide his domestic failures.

BS article. The Biden Regime is responsible for the soaring oil prices. If the regime wasn’t in the middle of destroying American energy production, this disruption in supplies could have been covered. This Russian action would have cemented permanent American energy world dominance. Talk about the consequences of stolen elections. But not to worry, McConnell snd Graham are still high balling that DC corrupt gravy train. McConnell raking it in from China, Graham, I think, is collecting from all sides involved.

The US has NO vital national interests in the Ukraine...

...the Russians do. This entire mess was instigated back in the BO administration by George s0r0s to deny a Russian pipeline threw Ukraine that would compete with his petrol interests.

Russia is fortunate that Biden shut down the Keystone pipeline that was supplying the US with 850.000 barrels of Canadian oil a day so we could substitute the lost supply with importing 550,000 barrels a day from Russia to help finance their little war. Is it any wonder why Germany was reluctant to shut down Nord Stream at Biden’s request while Biden was slurping up Russian oil after shutting down Keystone pipeline.
