I hope I’m wrong, but when you are dealing with government processes... the longer things go, the more corrupt they become.
Delays give time to blackmail, and to extort. It is literally the Democratic vote counting plan that happens in the States: Don’t take no for an answer, keep counting until you get what you want, then shut down the opposition.

Canada is just a trial run. You have my sympathy as do all Canadians. The motto of this era will be
“SHUT UP SERF!”
Not on frozen bank accounts and credit cards. Some legal beagle said that SCOTUS has already ruled that political funding is Free Speech and protected by the First Amendment. Canada has no such Amendment. That particular thing is unlikely to happen here.
