“Was that wrong? Should I not have done that? I tell you, I gotta plead ignorance on this thing, because if anyone had said anything to me at all when I first started here that that sort of thing is frowned upon... you know, cause I’ve worked in a lot of offices, and I tell you, people do that all the time.”

DA says that he MIGHT not have really hit the guy...
A good lawyer will have him say he was racing the victim to a hospital.
I was taking him to the hospital - honest!
That’s a bad look...
I rode a road bike in the bike lane for 6 years....finally got rid of it and got something I can ride on sidewalks for this very reason.
This was the straw that broke the camels back for me....happened in an area where I ride.....obtw this guy only got 8 years for killing 2 people.
I vote for both
If he’s a white guy..and a legal citizen..he’s in big trouble.
This happened to my co-worker years ago. Commuting daily 40 miles each way, was traveling through the Caldecott tunnel in SF East Bay when the traffic bunched up, and a motorcycle slammed into his truck. The body ended up in his pickup bed. Of course he stopped, he didn't carry hitchhikers.
Three first names.
Which is where they found the truck with the body still inside it.
Bit difficult to explain.
Good idea but I am too old to ride a skateboard.
I suppose if he was wearing a mask he could claim someone else stole his truck and hit the guy.
Back in the 70's I used to get on my 10-speed every day and do 40 or 50 miles around town.
Cut offs and tennis shoes. Didn't run red lights or double up in a lane.
Now most spandex-wearing a-hole bicyclists are hard to love.
I know we have a lot of cyclists on FR and I assume you are the good ones. Apologies to you guys.
You never heard of triage?
When I lived in Houston a guy I worked with was killed riding a bicycle to work one morning. They had just had a baby and his wife was going back to work and they only had one vehicle. He was killed the very first day before dawn and he wasn’t identified until his wife called the police that evening. They couldn’t identify him because he had been robbed of all his belongings, including ID. I would bet dollars to donuts whoever hit him did it on purpose to rob him.
That was a long line.
Probably not a good idea to ride a bike on a road named "Racetrack."
